Proposal
pairing: noctis lucis caelum x (female) reader word count: 406
just some short fluff for my fav boy of all time♡
In the glow of the moment, you find yourself smiling at the scene unfolding before you - Noctis, the true king, seated on the throne, flanked by Iggy, Gladio and Prompto, all in good health.
Your heart swells with joy, for everything has unfolded precisely as planned. Ardyn's malevolence is finally extinguished, and Insomnia is slowly but surely starting to get rebuilt. "Rise", commands your king, and you obediently ascend from your bow. His closed-eye smile beckons you closer. Without hesitation, you carefully ascend the stairs, stopping just before the last pair of stairs, locking eyes with your king.
"Y/N", his voice, a gentle caress, utters your name. "Yes, your majesty?"
His blue eyes meet your e/c ones in a silent exchange of affection.
He motions for you to come closer, to stand at his side. Realisation dawns - you’ve never been this close to the throne before. The only audible sounds are the echoes of your footsteps and your unsteady breath.
There you stand, before the king, feeling the weight of his authority. The urge to kneel seizes you, but a pale hand stops you from doing so, gripping your wrist. "Don’t… please", Noctis pleads, looking into your e/c eyes. Surprisingly, he rises, taking your hands into his. Your body tenses at the unexpected touch.
Staring into your eyes, he gently places his right hand on your cheek. "I have everything I could wish for - friends… maybe some exceptions…, home and the throne." Lost in his eyes and soothing voice, you can only nod.
"Yet, there’s something I've yearned for, chased for as long as I can remember." He releases your hand, lifting your left hand with his right, pressing a tender kiss on it's back.
"Please… be my queen."
A heavy silence envelops the room after Noctis's heartfelt proposal.
Your eyes widen, nerves fluttering in your chest as the weight of his words sinks in. The gravity of the moment hangs in the air, and for a brief second, time stands still.
In that pause, emotions swirl within you, and then, a tear escapes, tracing a path down your cheek. Unable to contain the surge of feelings, you find your voice, a soft yet resolute whisper, "I would love to."
Noctis's expression softens, a mixture of happiness and gratitude swirling in his eyes. Gently wiping away your tears, he nods, sealing the unspoken promise between the two of you with a soft kiss.

hiiii I love your stuff and wanted to make a request. is it possible to get an accidental confession from the reader where we're either talking to ignis or whoever you choose about how we have feelings for either prompto or noctis and they over hear us talking about them? you can choose whoever or both. have a good day/night<3
thanks for requesting!
☆ not so secret
noctis lucis caelum x male reader [he / him]
sypnosis: above.
the lowercase is intentional !
[name] paced around, waiting for ignis to finish talking to gladio so he could get some advice of his own. his brain was rattling around in his head, different thoughts squirming around as he stood there, consumed by his own thoughts. he need to talk to ignis, and quick.
after what felt like centuries, ignis was finally done talking to gladio. [name] took this opportunity and he quickly rushed over to the cook, not wanting anyone else to steal his chance.
"ignis. we need to talk about something. something.. serious. i don't know who else to tell, i feel like you'd be the best guy out of all of us to talk to." [name] rambled, voice rushing to finish it's sentence - just how the thoughts were rushing around [name]'s mind.
ignis nodded in response to his friend's rambling, seemingly quite concerened now for his friend. what could of happened? surely it wasn't something bad, right? because [name] surely looked distressed.
"yes, of course. you can come to me for anything, [name]." ignis said, giving [name] a small smile. he hoped it would somehow reassure him, or calm his nerves about this hidden situation to an extent. "now, what is it that you wanted to talk about?" ignis asked.
[name] took a deep breath, trying to calm down his racing mind. it seemed to work, or well at least for the time being. he could talk to ignis and not worry about his looming anxiety about the topic.
[name] cleared his throat, eyes focusing on the ground briefly before he looked up. he leaned in a little closer to ignis and he finally spoke. "i like noctis, romantically i mean. i just.. i just don't know if he feels the same. he has luna, a perfect, fairy tale ending to his story." [name] speaks, eyes trailing down to the floor once again. "no prince or king runs off with another prince, he always ends up with a princess - marrying her so she'd be his queen." [name] mumbles, clearly disappointed by the situation he has been put in because of his feelings.
ignis' eyes widen for a brief second as he takes in the initial shock after learning the news. his eyes then soften and he looks at [name] sympathetically, trying to make sure his friend doesn't worry about this 'boy drama' he has gotten himself into.
"i would've never thought you liked noct, but thinking back on it now it definitely makes sense." ignis chuckles slightly, shaking his head as he thinks of all the moments that had been shared between noctis and [name] over the years. it was clear that their bond was that beyond friendship - but to what extent? nobody knows yet.
throughout the years that all the men knew eachother, it was obvious that [name] and noctis were the closest. they'd always end up hanging out more, having more to say to eachother, or even having more secrets between eachother. it was clear that the two men cared for one another a fair deal.
yet, there was always a hint of something more.
there had always been a little glint in [name]'s eye whenever noctis was mentioned, or vice versa. there was always a smile, or a special applaud that the pair had for one another that they didn't have for anyone else. it was always clear that the relationship between the two was more than platonic.
even some of their friends caught up with all the signs. prompto was really the first one to notice, he even started to tease noctis about it. he'd often say how great of a couple the prince and [name] would be, and as of late he had been saying that noctis should marry [name] and not luna. noctis always brushed it off, however. he tried to act nonchalant, but there was always a blush on his cheeks whenever he heard the mention of his friends name.
whilst the conversation between ignis and [name] was occuring, noctis couldn't help but try and listen in. of course, his intentions were merely innocent. he had heard his name escape his friend's lips, and wanted to see if something was wrong. what he did not expect however, was for [name] to be confessing his feelings for him to ignis. noctis was perplexed.
the ravenette stood there in shock for a few seconds. he tried to process everything he had just heard, trying to see if he was just making things up. but no. he wasn't. [name] truly liked noctis romantically, and noctis felt his heart swelling as he heard the words fall out of [name]'s lips.
after gaining the courage, noctis decided to approach his friends. he stood besides [name] and smiled at the other man softly. it was the special smile he had only reserved for [name], none of his other friends. yet, this time the smile looked a bit different. it was as if the smiled was filled with an aspect of love and hope.
"i overheard what you said, [name]." noctis whispered as he stood besides his friend. ignis decided to take this as his queue to leave. he didn't even have to play the matchmaker, his friends were going to do that all themselves without his help.
[name] looked at noctis and he felt a little hot. perhaps it was from embarrassment, or perhaps it was even from the anticipation, the ever so painful longing of loving a friend.
"you did? oh fuck me.." [name] chuckled, shaking his head slightly as a nervous smile filled his features. noctis wanted to reply with something crude, but he decided to hold of for the time being. he'd say such things when they'd actually get together.
"i believe this prince doesn't need a princess.. another prince will do just fine for him." noctis replied, a smile on his lips to conquer the one [name] had. "that is.. if you're willing to have this prince?" the ravenette continued, holding out his hand for [name].
[name] nodded and he took noct's hand, taking a step forward to hug his friend. well, they weren't actually friends anymore. they were more than that now. they were practically soulmates, in all platonic and romantic senses.
"yes.. i am willing to have you and your offer of us being princes together." [name] hummed, feeling content as he held the prince in his arms. he just felt so relieved he didn't have to hide a part of him anymore. it was all out in the open.
noctis gracefully accepted the hug, his own arms going around [name]'s body. he wasn't sure what label to put on his relationship with [name] at the moment, but he was sure to find out. it was sure to be something that fit too, something that represented the two of them greatly.
"thank you." noctis whispered, pressing a small kiss to [name]'s cheek. the prince then earned a flurry of kisses to his face after that.
- author's note: hope you guys enjoy <3 decided to do noctis because i haven't written for him yet + there's barely any noctis content anyway

Primae Noctis
King Viserys x fem!AFAB!reader (OC)
WC : 3.6K
SW : Reader is given a name to make my life easier, however there is no usage of "Y/N," and physical appearance and details are left completely ambiguous and up to interpretation. PWP, Jason Lannister is an inadvertent cuck, oral, both m! and f! receiving, unprotected PiV, creampie, breeding kink, - you can't tell me that vizzy t doesn't have one -
If there's any more warnings to be added let me know!
This is the first installation out of a few others, I'll be doing Aemond, Aegon, Daemon, and possibly other hotd characters.
This is a re-post, all of my old accounts were deleted.
“Droit Du Seigneur,” which translates to “right of the lord,” is a mediaeval practice that’s also known as Primae Noctis, and it refers to the assumed legal right of feudal lords and kings to deflower and bed subordinate women on their wedding night, instead of new their husbands.
“Presenting Lady Braella of House Kneight, to King Viserys of House Targaryen, first of his name, King of the Andals, and the Rhoynar, and the First Men. Lord of the Seven Kingdoms, and Protector of the Realm.” The boisterous voice of the Kingsguard calls out, opening the door for you into King Viserys’ chambers. You’re still in your wedding dress, a beautiful garment of a light cream colour with gold embellishments, it looks surprisingly opulent and fit for a member of royalty considering that your family is poor, and had little money to get it made.
You stand with your hands clasped in front of you, gaze lingering on your shoes as Viserys quietly dismisses the guard, “Thank you, Sir Erryk,” a slight chuckle in his voice, “That will be all.” The heavy door closes with a resounding thud, leaving you alone with the King of the Kingdoms. “Good evening, Lady Braella, would you like to take a seat?” An arm covered in black fabric that’s trimmed with red lifts up and gestures towards two seats that are directly in front of an ornate fireplace that burns softly, on the left side of the room. On the right, lies the sculpture of Old Valyria that the King seems to have worked endlessly on.
You give a polite nod, finally lifting your head up to take in your surroundings. There’s a desk next to the chair, endless amounts of books stacked up on the surface and the area around it, various half-melted candles littered throughout the room, basking the room into a very light golden glow, but still leaving it rather dark. In the next area of the high-arched chambers is a bench seat in front of the window, a chaise lounge, another softly glowing fireplace, and finally the Kings’ bed, a plush looking thing with a dark oak four-poster frame, and soft looking red and gold sheets.
‘It’s a good thing that the bed appears soft,’ you think, ‘considering I’ll be laid across it later.’
The thought causes you to blush, and you can feel the heat rushing to your face. Gently sweeping your dress underneath yourself as you take a seat, hands coming back up to clasp in your lap. The king looks at you with a soft smile on his face, and a knowing look in his eye. “Could I offer you a cup, Lady Kneight? Possibly for the nerves?” already reaching for the pitcher of wine and one of the goblets next to it, “Yes thank you, my King, and unfortunately it is no longer to be Lady Kneight, but Lady Lannister, my Lord.” Reaching out to accept the cup offered to you, nearly downing half of it in one gulp. “But you are not yet married, and until you perform your nuptials and Jason Lannister beds you, you are still Lady Kneight.”
Remaining silent, you continue to take generous sips of wine, feeling down at the reminder that you are to marry a man that does not love you. You come from a small farming isle, your father is the most wealthy and successful farmer on the Island, and all the other citizens declared him Lord and representative because of this, but in terms of King’s Landing, in the eyes of the King himself, you were to be considered very poor and impoverished. The only reason Lord Lannister asked, or more so demanded, for your hand was to try and obtain the Isle for himself. Your father was very old, you were the last attempt out of a long line of failure and loss, and unfortunately the years of strain had already caused irreversible damage, and your mother died shortly after you were born. Lord Lannister believed that once your father died he could then possess the largest farming plot, and then after that, the whole town. You can feel the overwhelming sadness, the future ahead of you is dim; a long life of being the broodmare for some proud lion who will show you no love, no kindness, and will expect you to sit by quietly while he continues to indulge in women, cups, and chase after power.
You feel a warm calloused hand place itself softly upon your own that are still clasped in your lap. You tear your eyes away from the random spot that they had focused on upon the wall, turning to face the King you find that he has this melancholy look upon his face. “As you know, I lost my wife, Aemma, and my son Baelon, not long ago. The council has been demanding of me to remarry, to take a new bride for the prosperity of the kingdom and the propagation of the Targaryen line.” His eyes have begun to drift away from yours, the death of his wife and child weigh heavily upon his mind still. You’re suddenly filled with doubt, you shouldn’t be here, not so close to the death of his wife, it’s rather selfish of you, you think, even though it’s the law that you be here.
“Even though I am one for tradition,” He carries on, thumb absentmindedly rubbing across your knuckles. “I must say, the notion of arranged marriages is not one of my favourites. At least luck was in my favour with my marriage, I had known Aemma almost all my life, I was familiar with her, which made everything much easier. However I offer you my commiserations, to be forced to marry someone of whom you hold no knowledge or familiarity with. And if you’ll allow me to speak freely my Lady, I’m sorry that you’ve been stuck with such an excuse of a man as the Bastard of Casterly Rock.”
You feel your eyes widen as you choke on the sip of wine you had just taken. The King was allowed to speak freely of course, he is the King after all, but you didn’t expect such crass and crude honesty from him, especially towards someone who consistently supported and pledged fealty to the King, whether out of cowardice or not. He makes a shocked face as you begin to cough, sliding to the edge of his chair to reach out his left hand and place it on your back in a comforting manner. He doesn’t remove his hand from your own or your back even after you’ve regained control of your breathing and ceased coughing.
The room is silent for the next few moments as the two of you look at one another. The King has a soft smile on his face as the two of you resume your conversation, you find that speaking to him is actually rather easy, considering the fact that he’s the King. You speak on everything from your parents to the model of Old Valyria that he’s constructing, a large and eager smile overtaking his face when you ask him about the subject. Eventually after a few more cups of wine on both your parts, the mood of the air shifts, more tension arising between the two of you.
The King slides off his seat, placing his cup back on the small table before reaching a hand out for your own. “Thank you my King,” placing it in his hand, “There’s no need for formalities, my Lady, you may call me Viserys.” now reaching his hand out for your own to help you from your seat. “Of course, Viserys, and you may call me Braella, if it suits you.” The two of you stand facing each other, just a hair's-breadth away from being chest to chest, The room is feeling very hot, but as much as you’d like to blame it on the two fires that circulate the air, you know it’s because of your close proximity to Viserys and the knowledge of what comes next.
He brings a hand up to cradle your face, thumb rubbing against your cheekbone. The heat that emanates from his skin floods your senses, his skin rough yet soft at the same time, providing a certain comfort. Parting your lips as your eyes flutter, the air moves around you and grows warmer before a pair of lips slot against your own. Letting out a soft sound as you press your lips more intently against his own, hands coming up to rest on his shoulders, your nails no doubt digging through his shirt to his skin. Viserys’ other hand comes up to cradle your face as well, pressing a little harder into your skin as the two of you fervently kiss.
When you break the kiss, he begins to guide you towards his bed, still slightly panting for breath. He guides you until you stand at the edge of the bed, “May I?” hand gently caressing your back. Nodding your head gently, Viserys begins to undo the laces of your dress while still maintaining eye contact with you. His fingers are quick yet nimble as they loosen the strings, and soon your dress is sliding down your shoulders, leaving you in nothing, as you had removed your smallclothes earlier. He raises a brow at this, “Ready are we?” gently teasing you, offering you a hand so you can step out of your dress. You giggle, more heat coming to the surface of your face. You ignore his comment and instead begin to undo the fastenings of his shirt, going through the clasps as quickly as you can.
He shrugs off the shirt as you glide your hands featherlight down his chest. As you drag your hands down you also begin to slowly sit down on the edge of the bed, as your hands reach his breeches you gently palm the bulge that sits there. Viserys throws his head back with an audible moan that echoes lightly across the empty stone walls, eyelids slipping closed, his hands slightly clenching at his sides. You untie the laces and reach a hand in to grab his cock, one of his hands immediately comes up to loosely rest on the back of your neck, you lower his breeches just enough to pull his cock out, watching as it gently bounces up. Viserys is well endowed, it’s a good length and your fingers just barely wrap all the way around, the tip is pink and glistening in precum.
Glancing up at him to find that he’s already looking at you, mouth parted and pupils blown. You realise that he’s waiting for you to do something, but you’re not exactly sure how to do it. You suddenly grow very nervous, eyes darting away from his own, he seems to notice this, bringing up the one hand that isn’t on the back of your neck to encircle your own, he tightens his grip and subsequently your own, before moving your hand up and down his length. He groans and speeds it up a little more, moving your hand to stroke over the head, collecting the precum on your palm to spread it and make the glide of your hand easier. “Oh, keep going.” words breathed out, continuously letting out groans as he lets go of your own hand to let you take over completely.
You keep going for a while, slowly tightening your grip and speeding up which gives you a steady stream of moans from Viserys, until you remember something some of the married women told you about; how men found a woman using her mouth pleasurable. You toss a quick glance upwards towards Viserys before leaning forward and licking the tip of his dick. He gasps loudly, the hand resting upon the back of your neck moves to card through your hair, gripping it tightly. You do it once more in hopes of getting the same reaction from him, doing it again and again, then you take the tip into your mouth, gently sucking. Viserys thrusts his hips forward a little, “Keep going Braella,” his breathing picking up, “Keep going.” He keeps giving little thrusts as you take him further and further into your mouth.
Eventually he gets closer and closer to the edge, quietly murmuring the words “Stop, stop,” as he pulls out of your mouth, his cock throbbing. He gestures a hand towards the pillows, “Get on the bed.” before he works to pull his breeches all the way off. You lay on the bed, slightly propped up by the pillows, watching as he climbs onto the bed, laying slightly on his stomach before grabbing both of your legs and throwing them over his shoulders, gripping your hips and pulling you towards his mouth, immediately beginning his ravishing. You let out a loud cry, hands going down to his head, grabbing his hair. Viserys licks and sucks on your clit, with various licks downwards to collect more slick, moaning out between ravenous slurps, the vibrations causing you to moan out and grind your hips against his face. He moves his mouth down to your opening, tongue prodding around to stretch you out as his nose now rests against the bundle of nerves. Pushing his tongue in and out as he periodically shakes his head from side to side, providing stimulation to both areas that makes you squirm around on the bed.
The pressure builds up in your lower abdomen, warmth building deep in your bones. Viserys moves his mouth back up to suck on your clit at the same time he pushes two fingers into your hole, quirking them up straight into a spot that makes your head spin and sends you immediately into your peak. You let out moan after moan, not caring how loud you’re being and who could hear you. Your hands are still clenching in his hair, pulling on it and you’re bucking your hips up and down without abandon only for Viserys’ arm to come up and hold you down, his other hand still working you to completion. You squirm around as pleasure turns into overstimulation, moans turning into whines and gasps.
“Oh- Viserys please! Viserys please, it’s-it’s too much!” He looks up at you, mouth still attached to your centre. His eyes crinkle at the corners as you feel his lips quirk around the edges before he doubles down, still working you through it, as the first peak melds into a second one. It’s a blinding pleasure, and you lose feeling of your limbs for a moment, slightly twitching and convulsing, riding your high.
The second you come down you feel Viserys remove his mouth and fingers before he immediately slides his way up the bed, moving your legs from his shoulders to around his waist. There’s not even a moment for you to catch your breath before he’s pushing the fat head of his cock into you, the both of you letting out moans as Viserys slides in slowly, pausing as he reaches your maidenhead. He leans down towards you, lips slotting over your own, spreading the taste of you. One hand goes to cradle the side of your head while the other works its way under your back, pulling you flush against him. You worm your arms up, placing one around his neck and the other into his hair. Pulling his mouth away from your own he gives you a reassuring smile, the hand cradling your face thumbing against your lips. “I’ll be gentle, Braella, as gentle as possible. Are you ready?” offering him an enthusiastic nod at his question, lifting your head up to press your lips back to his own as he begins to move. He thrusts forward gently, continuing to push as he meets the resistance of your maidenhead, soothing your painful whimpers with a stroke of his thumb on your cheek and deepening the kiss. Viserys pushes until the painful pressure suddenly snaps, the pain dissolving into gentle pulses as he finally pushes all the way in.
Viserys stills for a few moments, allowing you a little time to recover, then he pulls almost all the way out, the head of his cock still pressed snuggly inside, before thrusting back in. He immediately begins a steady pace, letting out a groan everytime he pushes in. He breaks the deep kiss that the two of you were in before trailing his kisses down your neck, sucking spots into the tender flesh. He works his way down to your chest, pulling a nipple into his mouth, sucking and biting gently before blowing cold air on it, causing you to cry out. Switching to the other side to continue the ministrations.
He lets go of your nipple with a wet pop, lips slick and shiny with spit as he looks at you with dazed eyes, speeding up his thrusts. “I offer my apologies, Lady Braella, there’s no way that the Proud Lion would ever be able to make you feel this way. He’ll make for a pathetic excuse of a husband, and an even more pathetic lover.” You’re barely paying attention to the words he’s saying, the faster his thrusting grows, and the harder his pelvis hits against your own, the more lost you find yourself becoming. “Maybe I’ll spare you from such a fate, hmm? Keep you in my bed, keeping it warm, giving me heirs-” you let out a small whimper, clenching around him tightly. “Oh do you like that idea? The idea of me making you mine, of keeping you full of my seed? Warm and swollen with my child-” His words stuttering off with a groan.
The hand that rests against your face goes down to hold onto your hip, using it to pull you down on his thrusts. The change in angle causes him to hit something that makes white sparks shoot behind your eyes, letting out a loud moan. You begin moving your hips with each of his thrusts, letting the tip of his dick pummel against the spongy spot inside you. “Viserys please, please, I wanna, I have to-” Feeling the pressure build up quicker and quicker, you move your arms down to his back, nails digging half-crescents into his skin. “Go ahead, let go for me.”
It builds, and builds, and then it snaps. You scream out, loud enough for half of the Red Keep to hear you, maybe even loud enough for your soon-to-be-husband and the rest of the wedding party who are waiting in the chapel for you to finish so that way you can begin the ceremony and thusly be locked away in Casterly Rock for the rest of your life.
You can feel yourself clenching and pulsing around Viserys, he lets out moans that rival the audibility of your own, his hips stuttering, pace becoming uncoordinated. He pushes his hips flush to your own, dick twitching as he fills you with rope after rope of cum, it goes deep, and the heat from it makes you moan out. He does a last few little thrusts before pulling out, Viserys presses his hands to the insides of your thighs, holding them apart slightly so he can watch his spend slowly drip out of you, before scooping it up with a finger and pushing it back inside of you. You squirm to the side, too overstimulated for anymore, but too tired to really move away from him. The both of you pant for breath as Viserys removes your legs from where they hang over his hips still, allowing you to stretch them out, he then pulls you onto your side before laying down as well, facing you.
You lay in silence for a moment, looking at the content smile upon Viserys’ face. Reaching a hand up, you push wisps of his recognizably Targaryen white hair out of his eyes and away from his face. He pulls you closer, letting out a contented hum as he presses a gentle kiss on your lips. Nuzzling your face into the crook of his neck you close your eyes, the both of you basking in the afterglow and taking the time to collect your breath, you feel yourself slowly slipping asleep, finding the utmost comfort in the bed of the King.
After a few moments Viserys sits up, gently laying you back on the pillow and pulling the downturned covers over your body as the fires in the room had gone out sometime during your bedding, and now a chill was bouncing off the stone walls of the chambers. Before you can sleepily mutter out your confusion Viserys offers you a gentle shush, murmuring out a quiet “give me a moment.” as he stands to put on a pair of loose linen breeches and a billowy shirt, throwing a long red robe overtop of them.
He leans down to bestow you with a small kiss, giving you a cheeky smile as he stands back up to his full height.
“Now if you’ll excuse me, Lady Braella, I must inform Jason Lannister that he will no longer be getting married.”

Reunions: Older!Noctis Caelum x Fem!Reader (NSFW)
Contains: Reunion sex, Noctis lives, vaginal fingering, soft sex
You stumbled into the room, nearly tripping over your wobbling heels and the long petticoat and skirt. Whipping your head around, you swallowed thickly as you watched Noctis shut the door behind him, turning the heavy lock until it clicked in place before turning to meet your gaze. His ocean blue eyes were dark, glazed over with lust, pupils blown so wide that they nearly swallowed those beautiful irises of his.
You couldn’t help but feel excited. The butterflies in your stomach were fluttering, you swore you could hear them. Your heart was beating against your chest, your brain was running in a maze of fog.
The music was still raging on behind that door that Noctis blocked with his body, you both could hear the orchestra clashing and playing beautifully for the dancing crowd from where Noctis had pulled you out of. In a crowd as thick as that one, everyone dancing and laughing and drinking in celebration that the king is back, he could still pick you out of the group with such ease.
Even after all of these years, the passion you both had for each other had yet to settle, only growing like a sylleblossom bush.
“Why didn’t you tell me you were here?” Noctis broke the tense silence in the room first. His eyes were trained on you, practically undressing you. He hadn’t seen you since Lestallum over ten years ago; In his eyes, you really didn’t change at all - you were still as beautiful as ever. “Gladio, Ignis, Prompto?”
“I almost didn’t come, if I’m being honest.” Saying those words hurt your heart, dulling the butterfly tingling sensations in your gut just a bit. You saw the look of carnal hunger soften quickly in Noctis’ eyes, dark eyebrows pinching together. “I thought you wouldn’t have remembered-”
“I did,” he cut you off. “I still do. I remember everything.” Noctis took a few steps forward towards you, with every step he took it made your heart beat loud in your ears like a tightened drum. Even as he stood before you, you still felt like a giddy school girl. “Of course, I remember you. It’s impossible to forget someone like you, I could never forget.”
You felt tears stinging at the back of your eyes like glass shards. Your throat tightened up and your chest had started to ache. Just the look of worry overtaking Noctis’ face was enough to make your heart start to break.
Even though you both hadn’t seen each other in ten years, he was still as handsome as ever. He still had those dazzling eyes that rivaled royal jewelry, he still had those boyish good looks that aged like fine wine, and he still had those tender moments that made you fall in love with him all those years ago. Even while standing before you, you knew exactly what you both wanted to do.
Noctis had reached a hand out, carefully taking your hand in his. He glanced down as he carded his fingers with yours, locking your hands together. He missed this. He missed you; So much that it fucking hurt. It was almost like it wasn’t real at first. Even with your skin pressed against his, it almost felt too real to even be real. Even as you’re standing before him, your warm flesh touching his, your perfume in his nose, your voice in his ears, he almost believed it all to be lies.
Noctis reached his other hand up, brushing his knuckles against your face, moving the stray hairs out of your face allowing him to see how well you’ve aged. His hand rested on your jaw, his thumb on your chin as he tilted your head up to really look him in the eye. He felt his chest starting to tighten with emotions digging up the past ten years he’d spent all alone.
“You’re just as beautiful as I remember,” he murmured.
The emotional dams had broken on both sides as tears started to fall. Your hands had grabbed onto Noctis’ coat, dragging him in as close as your bodies would allow as he connected your lips in a desperate kiss. His hand that was now empty grabbed onto your back, fingers tangling with your hair and pressed your head as close to his as he could. You both moaned into the kiss, the taste of salt slipping in from where your tears had met your lips. You grabbed at more of his coat, nearly tearing apart the expensive material from just how tightly you’d been holding it when you both had started to move before you even realized what was actually going on.
Your feet moved backwards, the two of you stumbling around the room until your ass had struck a lounge chair. You both tumbled down, your back landing against the stiff padding while Noctis braced himself on top of you, the kiss breaking for just a moment as you both looked at each other stunned.
“Noctis,” you whimpered. Your body felt like it was on fire, like you were a diseased woman and the only cure was the king now propped up above you. “I missed you, I need you.”
His hands snatched at the damned petticoats you had under that dress of yours - Astrals, you looked so radiant in this dress, Noctis almost didn’t want to remove it - and bunched them up at your waist. You eagerly grabbed onto them, helping him lift up your skirt at the same time, pooling everything just under your breasts. You shivered as Noctis’ hands gently caress your thighs, the once familiar feeling of his cool hands on your warm skin brought back such great memories. He hesitated, fingers curling up instead of re-exploring lands he’s ventured across before, and looked up at you with those beautiful eyes of his.
“Can I?” he asked in such a small voice, you barely heard it over the music still going on in the ballroom outside.
Your mouth had gone dry so you nodded quickly, swallowing thickly as your body hummed in excitement.
“Please,” you managed to croak out.
His slender fingers wrapped around the hemline of your panties which were starting to get wet before he slowly dragged them down your parted legs and eventually off of your person. Noctis hummed softly, his fingers were cool to the touch when they slowly stroked at your pussy. His fingertips slipped between your folds as if they were rose petals, soft and delicate and seemingly dripping with honey he so desperately wanted to taste. You sighed contently, sparks connecting in your nerves like long awaited surges of power, your eyes fluttered shut as you struggled to take in full breaths. You swore you would cum just from Noctis carefully fingering you alone. He slipped in another finger, both digits teasing at your slick entrance before delving in like they did once upon a time. He remembered how you felt, how you tasted, he swore he could already taste it without his tongue even touching you. He curled his fingers inside of you, drawing out a high-pitched whine from your throat as your eyes nearly rolled into the back of your head.
Noctis withdrew his fingers after another moment, mesmerized by the slick that coated his two fingers before licking your sweet nectar right off of them. Your eyes connected once more, you could see the carnal intentions bubbling to the surface once again in those galactic blues.
“You taste just as sweet as I remember, too.”
You couldn’t help the heat that rose to your face, turning your head away as your face felt flushed from how sweet and how soft Noctis was being with you right now. You knew what he wanted to do to you, hell, you wanted him to do it too! But he’s taking his time, he wants to take his time.
His hands had started on his belt, fingers unlatching the silver clasp and unweaving the expensive black leather from the loops of his dress pants before dropping it to the floor with your wet panties. His fingers quickly fumbled with the front of his pants, undoing the buttons and peeling down the zipper to show off the erection that Noctis had been hiding under his clothing shockingly well. Your eyes widened at the sight of the bulge, your cunt cried for it.
Noctis slipped himself out of his underwear, fingers wrapping around his shaft and head and pumping his cock once, twice, three times before he guided it across your dripping pussy. You whimpered as you felt it tap at your passage, wincing at the painful stretch and quickly sighing at the overwhelming pleasure that filled your core without a second thought.
Noctis groaned loudly above you, his hands flying to your hips to steady himself, his hair falling in front of his face.
It was a good thing that the orchestra outside was still raging on and the crowd had still yet to notice that he had long since slipped out.

— You lost! Show it! — Gladio shouted right next to [Reader's] ear.
— You cheated — she gasped, clutching the wooden sword.
— All's fair in love and war!
— We're not at war, we're just doing training exercises — the little girl replied.
She wasn't happy with the sparring result but she kept her promise. She rolled up her sleeve, revealing the tattoo on her forearm. The black line formed an ornately written "Farewell"
— I was hoping for something better.
— Do not get smart up. You don't have the skill yourself yet.
— It won't be easy to find a soulmate with something like that. I hope my skill will be better.
The girl didn't want to admit it but she was thinking exactly the same thing. Many people were given simpler instructions. She has always dreamed of a timer or a red thread. They didn't require much attention. Meanwhile, she was given a word that anyone could have said to her.
— Maybe I'll hear my soulmate say goodbye to someone? Or will this be a slogan describing our entire relationship? You know... we'll be such a nice couple that we won't want to be apart?
***
[Reader] stared at the three friends who had come to the training ground. She was glad Noctis wasn't with them.
She thought no one would come here in the middle of the night. She had been able to avoid meetings over the past few days but it seemed like that wasn't the case this time.
— I don't want to talk to you.
She swung her sword, practicing the sequence.
— Listen, you can just sit here for me but he doesn't want to go anywhere without you...
Gladiolus didn't finish his sentence because Prompto kicked him in the ankle with all his might.
— How can you say such things to a girl? — Prompto was outraged. — Sorry, I have to send a text message quickly. — He took out his phone.
Ignis looked at the other two and sighed. He adjusted his glasses. He felt the need to do this whenever he got irritated.
— Why are you avoiding the prince?
— Damn it! We all know why. We are not making idiots of ourselves.
King's Shield was tired. He wanted to put the whole trip behind him. Altissia was far from Insomnia. They had a long journey ahead of them and he felt like he was babysitting Noctis instead of preparing for it.
The prince insisted that he wanted to see [Reader] at his wedding to Lunafreya. He proposed it to her and she awkwardly excused herself and they haven't seen each other since.
— Wait... so we know why she's avoiding him? — Prompto frowned in concentration.
It took him a few seconds to understand what Gladiolus was talking about.
— Aaah... That's what you mean... — He tapped his forehead lightly.
— Let's end this circus. You're coming with us. Even the king said it was a great idea.
— He didn't give me an order.
[Reader] knew she was arguing like a little child but she had a hard time hiding her reluctance.
— Stop being so selfish! — Gladio knocked the training sword out of her hand.
He did it easily. He surpassed her in terms of physical strength. Not to mention his skills were next level.
He froze the moment he saw her face. The moonlight helped him see tears in the corners of his eyes. She turned her head to wipe them gently.
He felt guilty.
They had been friends since childhood.
— Damn it! — He pinched the bridge of his nose. — I'm sorry, okay? I'm just... fed up with it.
Ignis didn't say anything. He looked at him reprimandingly and Gladio realized that he was in for a good sermon. Ignis took an embroidered handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to the girl. She accepted it gratefully.
— It's not your fault... none of you... Let's be honest, neither is it Noctis's fault. But so what? Should I be a bridesmaid at a wedding I don't want to see? Watch someone I've been in love with for so many years get married? Congratulate my rival with whom I never stood a chance? I want Noctis to be happy but... that doesn't mean I have to watch it all.
The girl felt all the emotions she had been carrying since the announcement of the engagement slipping away. Grief gripped her heart and the words stuck in her throat. Her fingers tightened around Ignis's handkerchief. There was a deafening silence, broken only by the night chirping of crickets.
The friends looked towards the entrance. She followed their gaze.
He stood there.
— We'll leave you two alone — Prompto suggested.
He hoped [Reader] wouldn't find out that he was the one who notified Noctis via text message. Otherwise he would be in big trouble.
— I think we need to talk — said the prince.
— You didn't overhear everything? — she asked bitterly.
Blue eyes stared at her intensely.
— I want you to tell me about it properly now.
— NO. — She sat down on the stone wall. — Do you know why? Because it doesn't make sense. I won't change anything.
— You know...
— I know! You are responsible for Lucis... And you will be king one day... And you love Lunafreya... And we need this marriage...
Noctis looked at the brightly shining moon above his head.
It was as if in its light he could no longer hide anything.
He felt he had failed as a friend.
He knew for a long time. He just never wanted to let that thought come to the fore. It was easier to push it to the bottom of his mind and tell himself it was just a delusion. He was afraid to face a feeling he didn't reciprocate.
— [Reader], if you had told me earlier...
She felt a pang in her chest. He had no soulmate skill. Fate didn't decide for him. He chose Luna of his own free will.
— I wouldn't change anything. You love each other and I want you to be happy but please — she took a deep breath — don't make me go there. My heart can't bear it.
In her imagination she saw a beautiful bride. Blond curls were tied up in a high bun and the white dress rustled with every step. The Oracle held a bouquet of her favorite blue flowers as she looked for her fiancé.
Her fingers gripped the stone tightly.
He could give an order if he wanted.
— Then stay... but promise me our friendship won't end like this.
The prince felt that the thread that had connected them for a long time was breaking. He wanted desperately to save it, even though he felt it was over. All the years they spent together were gone.
— I promise that I will come after the wedding, together with your father, when I get myself together a bit. — She headed towards the exit.
— Farewell — he said with a slight smile.
She glanced briefly at the tattoo that had been with her for many years.
She didn't answer him.
***
— What is it about? — Noctis asked.
Ignis entered the room with a newspaper in his hand.
— Read it.
The Fall of Insomnia , said the headline. Gladiolus read it aloud, feeling growing anxiety.
— Is this some joke?
The prince wanted to tear out the newspaper and make sure he had heard correctly.
— There was an attack. The Imperial army has occupied the capital — Gladio continued. — The Treaty Room flashed brightly. Explosions were also heard. When the smoke cleared, the king was found... dead. — Gladio looked up.
— No... But... Wedding... Altissia...
— I know. That was the plan but... all the headlines in town can't be wrong.
Ignis looked at Noctis with regret. There was no way there could be a mistake.
The boy felt his heart beating fast and a cold sweat break out on him.
— Liars! — he shouted. — We have to check that.
— Shall we turn back? — Prompto assured.
— Yes.
***
— Betrayal! Protect His Majesty!
[Reader] managed to kill three opponents before she fell to the ground. Lights flashed all around and a loud explosion deprived her of hearing.
She put her fingers to her chest in surprise. A red, sticky liquid flowed from the deep wound. She tried to make a sound but was interrupted by darkness.
***
— Maybe these will be the last words you hear from him? He'll see you and decide it's time to say goodbye or something — he laughed.
— Gladio, I'm going to kill you!
— I'd like to see you try — said the new, short, dark-haired boy.
He poked his head out from behind one of the pillars and curiously walked to the middle of the training ground.
— I think it's time for me to introduce you to the spoiled prince. Noctis Lucis Caelum and his titles that I don't feel like listing...

༻laundry day
—"gonna shrink your shirt"
noctis lucis caelum x reader
Synopsis: Loving Noctis is like wishing for rain on a hot summer day. Irritating and Pointless.
Tags: [Words: 1,129], pining, angst, set before the game, reader is gender neutral
a/n: fun fact i finished writing this while waiting for my laundry to dry LMAO
“Pom, what are you doing?” You take the lollipop out of your mouth and gesture towards the house of cards Prompto was building on the floor of the laundromat.
“I’m trying to keep busy.” Prompto mutters as he carefully places the next card on the tower.
The laundromat smells like chlorine and despite the slight breeze you feel whenever the fan hanging by the door turns your way, your skin feels sticky from sweating so much.
It was a hot summer day and Ignis decided that today was cleaning day at Noctis’ apartment.
“This room is not fit for a Prince, let alone the soon-to-be King.” Ignis had said in his ever so posh voice.
You and Prompto couldn’t weasel your way out and were included in the cleaning regime since you were already hanging out at Noct’s place. You guys weren’t doing anything in particular—just sitting in front of a fan while playing King’s Knight on your phones.
The four of you spent the day scrubbing Noctis’ apartment down floorboard by floorboard, top to bottom. Your feet are sore and astrals know you need a shower.
When you guys were done with that, Ignis prompted things to go by quicker if the four of you split up. Ignis and Noctis went grocery shopping while you and Prompto were on laundry duty.
“The fact that it’s not even our OWN laundry we’re waiting for.” Prompto leans back on his hands with a groan.
A high pitched beep plays from the dryer and you jump off of it to unload the first batch of clothes.
When you open the dryer, a white piece of folded paper falls out onto the floor.
“Oh, hey. I guess Noct left something in his pockets.”
You pick up the note and start to unfold it when a hand snatches it out of yours.
“No!” Prompto clears his throat.
“No!” Prompto clears his throat.
Your eyes widen and you furrow your brows in confusion as Prompto starts to walk away from you.
“Psh, this is just…a list of princely duties.”
Prompto sings the last part as he folds the paper up again.
You nod your head, suspicious. Prompto tries to avoid your eyes.
“Prompto, what’s that?” You say slowly.
“Nothing!”
You stare the blonde down until he shrinks his shoulders.
“You’re not gonna wanna read it.” Prompto mumbles.
“Try me.” You say, walking up to him and taking the note from his hands with your thumb and pointer finger.
It’s a letter from Noctis addressed to you.
Your heart skips a beat and you bring the note closer to your face.
You skim through it, brushing past him telling you about his engagement to the Oracle and how he’ll be leaving Insomnia to be wed to her because you didn’t need to cry over that again.
What sticks out to you is the line in the smack middle of the letter.
‘The truth is I’ve liked you for a long time.’
‘I’ve liked you.’
‘I like you.’
You zero in.
Because Noctis is Noctis and he holds his feelings in until they implode on himself, he rambles on for a couple of paragraphs about his feelings for you, but you skim past that, too.
Because how could he? How could Noctis confess now of all times?
You pale as you lower the note.
“I told you, you shouldn’t have read it.” Prompto sympathizes, pouting.
“Did you tell him?”
“No, you told me not to.” Prompto says as if it was such a sure thing.
You fold the paper up, putting it in your own pocket. The letter has reached its receiver.
You and Noct have always had this kind of tension in your friendship. Lingering touches and words that could mean more than platonic. It’s a tricky type of thing. Something you don’t want to break. You and Noctis were both cowards, afraid of tipping the boat and drowning, because what if it didn’t work out? What if these feelings were a phase and once you both got into a relationship it would lead to regret?
For a second, Noct’s letter, his words, made you feel like maybe this was something worth feeling, but ultimately it isn’t. People are dying in the never ending war and in order for it to end Noctis has to marry the oracle. It’s what the king decided.
That’s why the letter was crumpled at the bottom of his dirty cargos.
It’s why you’ll bite your tongue and stuff it in your own pockets.
“But this is a good thing! Isn’t it!” Prompto smiles in hopes of cheering you up. “Noct likes you, you like Noct.”
You give Prompto a sad smile before wincing.
“Prom,” You say his name solemnly, “This doesn’t change anything.”
Prompto’s smile dies and he sighs.
“Yeah, I know.” Prompto says after some silence.
You take Noct’s clothes out of the dryer, put them in a basket for Prompto to fold, and start on the next batch.
The dryer springs to life again and you heist yourself back on top
You gnaw on your lollipop stick for a bit.
“When are you guys leaving?” You mutter out.
The question makes Prompto pause, but he resumes folding.
“In three days.”
You nod once, slowly.
It’s sunset when you and Prompto walk out of the laundromat, and with only a few steps there’s Ignis and Noctis.
Noctis—with his stupid spiky hair, and his adoring blue eyes, and his red-bottom combat boots that look way too big for him.
It feels like you’re seeing him with new eyes even though he’s always been like this. Now, it’s different because you know he sees you, too.
Prompto eagerly greets the two and teases Noctis about how long it took for his laundry to dry and how great of a friend he is that perhaps it calls for a royal favor to which Noctis mutters out a, “yeah, right.”
“I can’t wait to get back home.” Noctis groans and rolls his neck back.
He shoots you a teasing smile, but it’s different from all the other ones now that you know what you know. You see the hidden glint in his eyes behind his bravado and your heart aches for a future you can’t have.
You give him a small smile back, heisting the laundry basket up before making your own complaints.
The truth is he never planned to confess to you and neither will you.
Whatever you and Noctis have now is all you’ll ever have—
You know that.
He knows that.
Loving Noctis is like wishing for rain on a hot summer day.
Irritating and pointless.

TRAINING | GLADIOLUS x READER | FFXV
~ WRITING COMMISSIONS ~ ~ PATREON ~ ~ KO-FI ~
Disclaimer: This is a work of fiction. I do not own anything except my own writing. All properties belong to their respective creators.
“Hey, time to get up sleepy head!” “Mnn...” “C'mon princess, you'll have plenty time to doze later...” “Jes...just...one more minute...”
THWACK. “OW!”
You jolted up like you were on a spring, and quickly shoved his heavy boot away from your side. He hadn't kicked you hard, you were more irritated by the fact that he had pulled you out of such a nice dream. Riding a Chocobo through a field of fluffy white cotton. Ah...you could just...lay back down and...drift away again...
“Ah ah ah, you're not gonna slip that one by me. Come on-” A strong hand took you by the arm and hoisted you up before you had a chance to even open your eyes properly. Rubbing the sleep from them as you were sent stumbling forth and out of the tent flaps, you finally came to enough to turn and give him a good glare.
The man who woke you up was Gladiolus Amicitia- the trusted and loyal bodyguard for Prince Noctis. He stood tall in the sunlight...though he always stood tall, whatever the weather. Hard not to when you were pushing 6'6”. And if his height wasn't notable enough, his muscles certainly were. To say the guy worked out would be an understatement.
Amber eyes smirked back at you, and you scoffed, running a hand through your messy [H/C] hair so you could at least smooth it down. Yes, much like the Crown Prince himself, you were bad for sleeping in. However, Gladio hadn't even given you time to get ready, much less compose yourself. And you needed to. He was training you this morning...and training with him was really no joke.
“Remember what I taught you last time?” he walked over and slapped his palm down around your shoulder. You just looked up at him sourly. “I barely remember my own name right now.” He just laughed heartily. It was hard not to cheer up a bit when he did. His happy moments may not have been as infectious as Prompto's, but it was always nice to see such a tough man smile. Really, he wasn't so bad.
Gladio had been training you like this every morning for the past week while you camped out in Duscae, but it wasn't out of cruelty. If anything, it was the opposite.
You were more of a tactician than anything else, and sometimes you really felt tacked on to this party. Even being sent to accompany and protect Prince Noctis had been a last minute affair. Not that you were complaining...it was far better to be here than back in Insomnia.
You were still shaken by the news. And Noct...well...you tried not to ever talk about it with him.
Gladio only wanted you to feel like you were of more use, since you had told him you'd felt you weren't of any. He was looking out for you by doing this...as torturous as it could be having to wake up at the break of dawn and start exerting yourself. Regardless, you were grateful.
“C'mon princess, let's get going before the others wake up. You wanna be back in time for Ignis' famous breakfast, right?” Gladiolus attempted to spur you on with the promise of food, and yes, shamefully, it was enough to get you going. Letting him lead the way down off the camping plateau and toward the marshy plains, you jogged lightly after him, but soon picked up the pace enough to become level with the guy.
A little sweat was already gathering on your brow but you tried not to make a big deal of it. It would be true to say that part of you wanted to impress him. When it came to anything physical he was always the king, and you at least wanted to keep up in some respects.
Eventually you reached your destination, which was one of the fishing shacks arranged around the edges of the vast lake there. Coming to a stop by the mirror-esque water, you caught sight of yourself reflected within it. All hunched over with your hands on your knees like that and your hair strewn haphazardly around your face, you couldn't help grimacing.
So what? You were spending one-on-one time with an objectively attractive male. Who could really blame you for wanting to look presentable?
Quickly fixing yourself, you then turned and exhaled slowly, seeing that Gladio was already standing there ready and waiting to start the next phase of training. The run here was only meant as a warm up. Here was where the real tricky stuff started.
You called it 'tricky' because you really weren't a fighter. Sure, you could handle the daggers you carried well enough, but you were still distinctly lacking when it came to combat. Gladio was here to help you gain that sharp edge...to become more capable. You hoped.
“Let's pick up where we left off last time.” he cracked his knuckles, though it was for preparation, not intimidation. “You need to learn to become more aware of your surroundings. Half of combat is all about blocking. If you go crazy just trying to get in a hit anywhere you can, you'll not only tire yourself out, but you'll leave yourself completely open for a counterstrike.” This was all knowledge you could have inferred yourself, but you still listened to him intently as he carried on: “The key is timing. Knowing when to attack, and knowing when to shield yourself. Now-”
Suddenly, his fist swung. You gasped and stumbled back a step, quickly throwing up your arm in a clumsy fashion. Naturally he didn't plan on actually hitting you, but his knuckle still came close enough to give you a scare. Pulling back again, Gladio took another step towards you and laid his hand upon your shoulder once more, making sure you were steady. “See, now that's an issue. And it was only hand to hand too. You'll definitely struggle if you try to block a sword like that.”
Most certainly in the case of the one he carried. No innuendo intended.
“Right...okay...” you sighed heavily. A bout of weariness hit you again but you quickly shook your head to get rid of the sensation. Gladiolus didn't seem to notice, instead just carrying on with his lesson.
“Let me show you the best way of doing this. Take out your daggers for me.”
Doing as he asked, you placed them in his palm when he held it out expectantly. Lifting the weapons to his eyeline, Gladio then felt the blade of one between his thumb and forefinger, before humming and nodding.
“Yeah, it's strong enough alright.” “Strong enough for what?” Your innocently phrased question prompted a live demonstration from the man. And you didn't feel quite so innocent when he stood behind you and pressed up against your back.
It was in moments like these that you really noticed how small you were compared to him. You weren't actually that tiny for a girl, but you were practically a gnat in comparison to someone like Gladio. His strong and muscled arms looped around in front of your chest, though didn't wrap around you. Rather, he had only positioned himself in such a way so that he could take your hands in his and help guide the glinting blades. Even his hands alone seemed to engulf yours...
“See, if you cross them like this-” Gladio moved your limbs so that blade was against blade, forming something of an 'X' shape, “-it'll act as a makeshift shield for you. Blocking a two handed beast like this still isn't ideal, but it gives you an option if you don't have the time or speed to roll aside.”
As you stared up at the two intertwined blades, you could see the sun shining boldly through the gap. The heat from those golden rays beat down upon your already sweating face, and you squinted. Your vision started to blur, your knees wobbling.
Suddenly the sky was rolling around you. A mix of blues and greens shot through your vision, until you felt the middle of your back hit something firm. The sight before you was replaced by a sudden darkness, and your eyes fell heavy before closing...
Some time passed, yet for you it was an instant. Those same eyes of yours began to flicker, letting in little glimpses of far more filtered light, before eventually opening enough to let you see the canopy of leaves above. At your side, your palm ventured out to help push you up, gracing over a soft, cool fabric, set down against the slightly moist grass. Though you managed to urge yourself to sit, something quickly took hold of your shoulder.
You knew that motion anywhere.
Looking over, you could see Gladiolus sitting on the same navy blue blanket, his arm outstretched to hold you steady. His sharp amber eyes never left your weary visage for a second.
“Easy there...just take it slow.” he urged you cautiously, before gently letting his hand slip away when he was sure you were sitting fine. Blinking a few more times to clear away the last spots of drowsiness, you observed the gruff man with a furrowed brow.
“...What...what happened?” “You fainted.” he stated simply, turning his attention away from you momentarily to focus on the pot of food he was stirring, before looking back again. “It was my fault. I think I pushed you too much, too soon.” “No that's...that's what I wanted though...” you spoke drearily and shook your head in what felt like slow motion. Clearly you still weren't totally together after that ordeal, but at least you were in the shade.
Gladiolus must have caught you when you collapsed. Good thing he was standing right there, eh?
“Doesn't matter what you wanted, I should have seen it coming. Obviously you were already at your limit.” Gladiolus continued to scold himself while he spooned up some soup and motioned closer. His hand went to your lower back and he held the spoon before your lips. “Open up. Ignis made this for you.”
Usually you would have been internally freaking out at this point. Every time he touched you during training you always felt a bit of a spark anyway, but here he really was treating you like the 'princess' he affectionately called you (even though you were far from royalty). However, you were still so woozy that you merely did as he wanted with little reaction, opening your mouth and letting him feed you. It was delicious of course, as could be expected from the delicacy master himself- Ignis. Though a worrying thought came to mind as he helped you eat, and between your second and third spoonful you had to ask:
“-Did the other boys find out about this then?” “What, about you fainting?” Gladiolus smirked and shook his head. “Don't worry, I had a feeling you'd want to save face. I just told them you wanted to have breakfast down by the lake since it looked so nice. They didn't suspect a thing.”
Good. Relieved, you started to relax a little more. Your strength returned enough to let you finish the soup yourself, and once you had you felt magnanimously better. Finally, you were human again.
“That was awful. Dammit...why am I so weak?” you questioned curtly, and Gladiolus took his turn to frown. “[Y/N], you're not weak. Not even slightly. Do you think we could have come this far if you were?” He had a point. You were already well underway on your journey, and it wasn't like it had always been a piece of cake. Still... “I need to be stronger than this. I need to get stronger so I can protect the Prince...”
Yes. Maybe you did. But as Gladio looked at you, he didn't see a single thing he really wanted to change. At first he could admit that he had doubted how useful you would be as part of the Crownsguard. Yet over time he had come to see just how important you were to the team. You were incredibly smart, and quick thinking. You had a knack for knowing what to do even in the most baffling situations. Just as a good defence was as important as a good attack, it was also crucial to have that kind of clarity at your disposal.
Besides...that wasn't the only thing he had started to notice about you. You had many other notable assets too...and as you sat there in the mottled shade of the lakeside tree, he saw one of them very clearly. A gentle, tender smile had spread across your lips and in turn illuminated the rest of your features. Sometimes he doubted it was possible you could look any prettier, yet in that moment you perhaps looked the most beautiful he had ever seen you.
“Thank you, Gladio. For helping me so much. I promise I'll do better next time...” “Don't...don't worry about it.” Did he just stutter? Stumble over his words? Hell, he even rubbed the back of his neck like a sheepish schoolboy. Gladiolus quickly composed himself again though. Right now wasn't the right time for that. Right now he wasn't ready to reveal anything of that nature.
“You can take a day off tomorrow, and then we'll carry on after that.” he told you, to which you nodded affirmatively. “Sounds good.”
That was right. For the moment...he just had to focus.
In a way...he was training himself too.

Joyride
Gladiolus Amicitia x Reader
Warnings: None
Requested by @justasidebloglol
Tysm for making this request! I’m so sorry for the wait, I hope you like it 🫶🏽
———————————————————————
The group of four walked down the steps of the palace entrance, heading to the Regalia parked outside.
Just as the men approached the vehicle, the king’s advisor called out to Noctis: “Your Highness!”
The men stopped on the steps, turning a full 180 to the voice that called out. Noctis stepped in front of the others. The advisor bowed deeply to him, before addressing the rest of his companions.
"Deep apologies. It seems we failed to mention another thing before you all set off.” The advisor straightened up and turned to his right, revealing King Regis beside him.
“Sir, if you may.” He faced the king and motioned with his arm to step forward.
Regis nodded, stepping aside from his advisor and turning to Noctis. “It appears there will be an addition to your journey.” The king enlightened the men.
“They have offered their assistance in the coming events.” He made a silent gesture with his head as if nodding, pointing in the direction ahead of the group.
The men turned their heads in the other direction, curious about who it could be.
Then the sudden thunderous whirring of a bike engine alarmed the four, causing Prompto to instinctively reach for his gun. Despite this, the rest remained calm.
The sound grew louder until it became a cacophony of noise as one motorcycle burst through the courtyard gates. This was followed by another car and another, and another… and another.
They all stopped near the gates while the motorcycle continued towards the palace steps.
As the rider got closer into view, the group could see a few noticeable features. A woman was astride the bike with a black helmet, black leather gloves, leather jacket, and leather boots. The motorcycle matched the all-black aesthetic with a sleek shimmer to the front.
Rock music blared, seemingly from nowhere as the bike slowed almost to a complete stop, but not before drifting cinematically just to show off. As soon as the engine was cut, the motorist dismounted from the bike and took off the helmet.
You walked up the steps to the palace with your helmet in hand, then you stopped right as you approached everyone.
You observed the men just as they observed you. The short blonde was cute, but you had no opinion of him. The tall one with glasses looked lame, and the muscular one was quite handsome.
And of course, you already knew and heard of Noctis, though he didn’t look too enthusiastic to meet you.
King Regis cleared his throat and approached you, taking your side and facing the men. “Gentleman, this is (Name).” He introduced.
The men stared at you for a while, some smiling as if they were excited to see you, some unfazed.
From the corner of your eye, you thought the muscular one looked at you up and down. He seemed curious but also pleased to see you. Grinning to himself, his gaze lingered on you for some time. He added a subtle wink before flickering his gaze at your bike, clearly intrigued.
When you surveyed him back. There was something roguish about his appearance. His hair was styled like a wild, unkempt mullet. A large tattoo covered both arms; you could make out a bird's wings and face. His eyes were the right shade of amber, like honey. And to add to his sculpted features, he had a nice patch of facial hair.
You could tell he was striving for the “bad boy” look. Out of all the four, he caught your eye the most.
Smirking slightly, you ignored his gaze and instead focused your attention on the King. He said, “(Name) has agreed to assist in the coming events. Keep in mind they are here to aid us, not harm us.”
Stepping forward, you outstretched your hand towards the men, “Nice to meet you.” You took a moment to introduce yourself to the two blondes, greeting them with a polite handshake.
However, when you got to Noctis, he refused the handshake. Unwilling to make eye contact, he faced away from you and muttered, "Hey..." before apathetically walking away.
It wasn’t the most eloquent greeting, but you still appreciated the effort. You could tell immediately that Noctis would take a while to warm up to you.
Ignis, who observed the interaction, stepped toward you two. “I apologize for his apathy. He’s not exactly the social type.” He apologized.
“It’s cool, I get it.” You responded with a shrug, giving him an understanding nod.
Then Ignis continued, “Noct will get adjusted to the arrangement in no time. Again, It’s a pleasure to have you joining us.” His tone was polite and hopeful.
You nodded at him again.
Turning your gaze toward others, you spotted the muscular one inspecting your bike. He was bent over, running his hand over the vehicle's side. From your distance, you could hear his tongue click as he grunted in approval of the vehicle.
“Sweet ride ya got here.” He called out to you in a deep tone full of intrigue, his gaze fixed on the bike.
You watched the man feel up your bike before flickering your gaze at Prompto sneakily climbing onto the seat. As desperate as he was to hop on, his attempt failed because he was too short.
Laughing softly to yourself in amusement, you approached the two men with a smirk. “Wanna take her for a spin?” You raised a brow, nudging the muscular one’s side with your elbow.
His brow raised as he glanced at you. First, he stared at you blankly before a small smirk tugged at his lips.
His fiery amber eyes sparkled with charm before he asked, “How fast can she go?” He folded his arms against his chest, standing back up to his full height.
Pleased to know that someone is interested in your lifestyle, you asserted, “Come and find out?” You smirked back, making a gesture to the bike.
The man let out a deep chuckle that nearly caught you off guard, “Only if it's cool with his highness.” He remarked in a murmur, turning and gesturing at Noctis.
Noctis, who was already sitting in the Regalia’s back seat, looked up at the two of you. At first, he gave the man a judgemental glare before shrugging indifferently as he replied, “Do what you want.”
The muscular one made a face at Noctis, then looked back at you and extended one of his previously folded arms, “Name’s Gladiolus. Call me Gladio.” He grinned down at you and shook your hand firmly.
You shook his hand, responding, “(Name).”
He laughed at that, smiling proudly. “No need for introductions, I’ve heard a lot about you.”
You were caught off guard for a moment, “Didn’t know people still talked about me…” You muttered under your breath, blushing a little.
“You kidding, who hasn’t heard of you? (Name), the fabled crowns guard who got exiled for “
Suddenly you stepped on his foot, making him grunt. “Shut it!”
Gladiolus released your hand and placed his own inside the pocket of his leather jacket, muttering a curse to himself before chuckling. “The stories were right.” He remarked.
Turning back to the others, he called out, “Ready to hit the road?”
Everyone nodded in agreement. Ignis hopped into the driver’s seat of the car while Prompto took the passenger’s side. Once everyone was settled, Gladiolus looked at you.
You took your place on your bike, leaving enough room for Gladio to sit behind you. “Hope you don’t mind the arrangement.” You commented, “I’m not used to riding with big guys like you.” Turning the key, you felt the engine purr beneath your feet.
A hum left his lips as he stepped closer to the bike, “I’m sure I’ll get used to it.” He sat behind you, leaning forward slightly to wrap his hands around your waist for support. “You mind?” He uttered directly behind your ear, tightening his grip teasingly.
“Just don’t get too touchy.” You teased in response before pushing the kickstand back with your foot.
You heard Prompto make a gagging sound in response to the two of you flirting, making Gladio turn around to glare at him.
“Excellent.” King Regis spoke, bringing everyone’s attention toward him. Looking at you, he smiled royally, “I appreciate your help, (Name). We’ll leave you to your business now.” He waved kindly at you and the men as you began to make your exit.
Ignis drove the Regalia in front of you, expecting you and Gladio to follow close behind.
As you followed the car, you couldn't help but notice the beauty of the landscape around you.
The city building incrementally became less frequent along the roads, and soon there was only land.
The sun was setting, casting a warm orange glow over everything. The sky was a beautiful mix of blue and pink that complimented the sunset perfectly.
The air became slightly warmer with every kilometer you traversed. Finally, after a few minutes of driving in one direction, you are surrounded by desert sand; ways away from Insomnia.
It felt more comfortable than usual; almost relaxing. Most cars were gone, except for the occasional vehicle passing by. All kinds of creatures roamed the blank terrain.
After about an hour of riding in silence, Gladio decided to break the ice. “You gonna show me how fast this thing goes or what?” He teased, nudging you playfully in your side.
Chuckling lowly under your breath, you pushed your helmet down to hide the playful smile that stretched across your face before answering, “Just hang tight. You’re gonna get a surprise.” Your reply sounded more like a tease.
You revved the engine loud enough for everyone in the Regalia in front to hear it, a playful attempt at startling them.
It worked, they jerked around and turned toward you with shocked expressions. But before they could regain composure, you and Gladio whipped right past the Regalia at impossible speeds.
The wind curved around your helmet but blew through Gladio’s hair wildly. You felt him hold onto you with a death grip while leaning forwards onto you for wind resistance. He grunted from the shock, “Whoa!”
As fast as you went, you knew you could easily run off course and crash. But you kept going; hoping that Gladio was enjoying the ride.
Then laughed as he exclaimed, “Holy shit!”
Prompto’s laughter grew softer the farther you drove away from the Regalia. He stood inside the convertible to catch a glimpse before you were completely out of sight. “That’s so awesome!” He yelled, cheering loudly.
Looking back, you yelled, “Try and keep up!” A laugh escaped your lips as you sped up even more.
Gladio seemed to have gotten used to the speed and held onto you tighter than before. Lost in the fun of it all, you both laughed and cheered.
Your little detour managed to turn into a session for sightseeing. The farther you got from the road, the more interesting the environment became to you.
The land was grazed by all sorts of creatures that you had never seen before. In the middle of nowhere, it was breathtaking.
There were a couple of times when Gladio had to remind himself to breathe when you took the corner unexpectedly, but ultimately, you proved to be an excellent rider.
When you could no longer see the road, you knew it was too late to turn around.
In the distance, you made out the shape of a giant scorpion charging at the two of you. “The hell is that?!” You shouted in awe, pointing at the creature. Even though it was pretty far away, you knew better than to underestimate its size.
Gladio leaned a little closer to look at it too, “Shit. I didn't think those existed anymore.” He grunted after a pause.
A wide grin spread across your lips as another reckless idea came to mind. Tightening your grip on the brake, you slowed down and drifted the bike so that you circled the mysterious behemoth, “Wanna fight it?” You looked back, grinning at the big guy as you finally stopped.
The question caught him off guard. Cocking a brow, his face held a quizzical expression as he looked down at you, “You still know how to fight?” He smirked.
You rolled your eyes, “Please, the beast ain’t that big. Plus, I know my way around a fight.”
Pushing the kickstand down, you and Gladio got off the bike once again. Reaching behind yourself, you pulled out a shotgun from the large holster on your back.
You twirled it between your fingers skillfully before letting it rest in the palm of your hand, “What do you say? Wanna see my skills?” You were beaming with confidence.
“Guns aren’t my thing. I prefer blades.” Gladio responded with indifference. His expression remained stoic as he crossed his arms over his broad chest, “They’re more efficient if you wanna take that beast down.”
“Is that a challenge?” You raised a brow, smirking as you eyed him.
He hesitated for only a second, “Well if it’s one you wanna take on,” Grinning victoriously and whipping out his large blade, he added, “I won’t hold back!”
Then the both of you set off on a race to see who could take the beast down. It was fun.
Neither of you would realize how much you’d bond over the short timespan of knowing each other.
After a quick round of combat, you had the upper hand with your superior weapons.
But it wasn’t over.
You and Gladio were able to land a few quick blows, enough for the beast to fall to its knees.
As quickly as possible, both you and Gladio jumped atop the creature with your weapons ready to strike down at it. “Come on, boy! Give us some blood!” You urged the beast with a snarl.
It roared at you and knocked you back with the force of it. Gladio grabbed the back of your jacket to steady you, “Hold on tight. Don’t let go!” He yelled before swinging his large blade at the beast’s head.
The blade connected with a satisfying hit causing the beast to cry out in agony. You jumped off the creature’s head and landed near Gladio on the ground.
You took the chance to shoot at its joints and neck to make sure the beast could be rendered immobile.
A few more attacks and the challenge would end in a draw. Neither of you could tell who killed it.
After having fun with the beast, it would take another hour for you to regroup with the others.
It was getting close to dusk when you returned. The others were chatting among themselves, seemingly tired and annoyed by your antics. They all stood aside from the Regalia, sharing equal piercing glares in your direction.
Prompto was the first one to exclaim, “Where have you been?! We were looking all over for you two!”
Ignis joined Noctis in his tirade, “We thought we lost you two for good.” He turned his attention completely to you.
He noticed the two of you were covered in monster blood and bruises, which made him narrow his eyes. “You’ve been fighting, haven’t you? Why in the world would you fight alone? What if neither of you came back?”
You couldn’t tell if he was mad at you since his expression never showed a hint of anger, but his voice was laced with sternness.
“(Name),” He sighed, “If you’re going to work with us, you need to take this more seriously. It’s all fun and games now until we’re leading a war against the empire.” His tone was gentle, yet firm as if he was talking down to a child. “We need you to be responsible, not reckless. It’ll get you killed.”
Gladio interrupted, causing Ignis to narrow his eyes at him. “Hey, don’t be so hard on her. So what, we went on a little joyride? We came back in one piece. If anything, it was my idea-“
“You of all people should know better. I wouldn’t have expected you to encourage this. I’m holding you accountable for this as well, Gladio.” Ignis eyed him before turning his attention back to you.
He continued, “She’s right to want to go on these excursions, as well. However, It can be dangerous. Especially when you’re unprepared.”
Your cheeks were burning under his scrutiny. Looking down, you apologized. “I’m sorry. I let the adrenaline get the best of me…”
Gladiolus was about to interject, probably with something sarcastic in reply to the insult, but Ignis cut him off, “To fill you both in, we are camping here tonight at the Hammerhead. Rest up while you can.”
The three walked off towards an RV, presumably the “camp” Iggy mentioned. Leaving just you and Gladio alone.
For a moment, neither of you said anything. Then, Gladio cleared his throat, breaking the silence. “Sorry about that…” His apologetic tone caught your attention.
“Don’t worry about it, man. No harm done.” You replied nonchalantly, kicking up some dirt. You walked back over to your bike and brought it to the fuel station, leaving it there next to the Regalia.
Gladio silently watched as you then made your way into the convenience store, but not before mouthing “Later.”
Moments passed, and you would walk over to where the RV was parked. The lights inside were on and you could make out the silhouettes of the four men.
Deciding not to bother them, you sat in one of the yard chairs out front and cracked a cold one alone.
As the sky began to darken, the air started to feel chilly. Wrapping your jacket around you, you stared into the night sky, thinking things over. Knowing your past, you predicted that something would go wrong. Something always does.
And as you thought about your reputation within the group, especially as a newcomer, your mood turned sour.
Then all of a sudden you heard voices arguing from within the RV. All you could pick up on was, “You should’ve done something,” “She's a liability,” and “She could compromise everything!”
But Gladio’s voice was able to outshine the others, “Giver her another chance!” He demanded. Noctis sighed, “You know her past. She’s trouble.”
“If she was so bad, then why did your father let her come with us?” Gladio snapped angrily, “She has potential. Giver her a chance!” He pleaded.
A few more words were exchanged between the men before Ignis finally spoke out, “We’ll speak about this in the morning. Everyone should get some rest.”
You were grateful that Gladio was willing to stand up for you, but it didn’t help the sinking feeling inside you. Everything you did mess something up. It always did.
You crushed the now-empty beer can and leaned back in the chair, closing your eyes and sighing. “Fuck…”
The door of the RV opened and then slammed shut as Gladio stepped out. His gaze lingered on you before he walked slowly over to the fire pit. Taking a seat next to yours, he gazed into the flames quietly for several long seconds.
You broke the silence with a soft murmur, “They don’t trust me, do they?” Your head hung low as you spoke.
He shook his head no, sighing deeply. “It’s not like that…” He scratched the side of his neck, "They’re just being… cautious.”
Sighing, you placed your chin in the palm of your hand. “I don’t blame 'em….” Your tone had dropped to near a whisper. A sad sigh slipped past your lips, “I’m known for my recklessness… You know how the stories go, I always fuck something up. Charging headfirst into fights.”
Gladio uncharacteristically chuckled, shaking his head. “That’s not how I saw it.” You furrowed your brows at him curiously, causing him to rub the back of his neck sheepishly, “I uh... I mean… I think you’re a total badass, not a failure.”
His voice was much softer than what you were used to, “The stories were right about one thing, you’re a damn good fighter. But everything else was insignificant to that.” He smiled at you gently, leaning back in his seat.
“I’ve never seen anyone who can handle monsters and danger like you do. And I’d bet my life that you know exactly how to use every weapon you have. You’re tough.” He winked and flashed you a grin, hoping to see a smile on your face.
Consequentially you smiled at his words, even if only a little. You hide your face in your hands, not wanting him to see how hard you were blushing. “You mean that?” You asked.
“Of course I do. Don’t you forget it.” You felt his arm wrap around your shoulder as he pulled you closer to him. The warmth of his body was comforting, although you were still embarrassed.
“I just have one question,” He started. “Why did you wanna join us?”
You bit your lip, debating whether or not you should answer. When you finally decided to tell him the truth, you looked him straight in the eye and responded, “I don’t want those stories to define who I am. I want to prove that I can protect something…”
Your head hung again, “But old habits die hard, right?” You added sadly.
Gladio grunted, shifting in his seat, “Don’t feel too bad about today. I was a part of this too.” He laughed a little, “Wouldn’t want you taking all the blame.”
Silence fell upon the two of you yet again. This time, however, it wasn’t quite as awkward. It almost seemed peaceful.
Gladio’s arm stayed draped across your shoulders. He was just starting to zone out when you spoke up again, “Thanks for having my back.”
His brow raised slightly, confused by your statement, “What? You don’t gotta thank me for that.”
"It means a lot to me." You looked at him directly and smiled. Your eyes seemed to sparkle with the moon’s reflection, making Gladio blush a little and glance away.
He cleared his throat, “Don’t mention it.” and continued looking out into space.
You shifted closer, resting your head against his shoulder. He tried his best to stay cool, but he couldn’t help noticing how cute it was.
Both of you watched the stars twinkling above, content to stay sitting together for the remainder of the night.
Neither of you wanted to break the comfortable silence, knowing that it might become awkward if you left. Eventually, you found yourself drifting off. As soon as your breathing slowed down, Gladio followed shortly after, snuggling up close to you. You were so warm, so inviting. He had no desire to leave.

Final Fantasy XV
Noctis x reader (x Prompto)
_________________________________ Part 1: How you met him… __________________________________
How you met his father, the king…..
Let’s say, you still felt uncomfortable around Noctis. No matter how you met him, you stuck between casual calling him and in a bow. That makes him so embarrassed too. But it is hard-core to hear or see him in the Radio or TV and then act as he would be just an ordinary guy. Even your own parents couldn't believe you and say ‚Yeah that is your wish, right?‘. However, at lunch time, he is always with you and Prompto. He takes a nap or eats something. At these times, you got used to him and even made some jokes around him. Always a little shy but he noticed your wicked smile while you looked away from him. Prompto is usually on your side to prank the royal friend of yours. He just smirked like you as he countered back.
„Guys , don't forget who will be king someday…“ He would threat. And you dared to say:
„ Yeah, the king of naps.“ Prompto just falls off from his chair due all his laughter. Slowly, you warmed up to the prince who is definitely happy about it. You can feel that he is not different at all. But this feeling crumbled every time, he invites you to his royal home. The feeling that you were million miles different and far away from this boy. The first time, you walked in like a lost puppy. And as you more got into the building, it seems bigger and bigger . You followed Noctis with a free caring Prompto. After a while you entered a fancy room with a large table. The dishes on the nice decorated table were already set.
“Noct?“ you heared a fine British accent.
„Here.“ The prince called out. A slender man with light brown hair which were all drawn back and glasses came from another room in as he bowed.
„Welcome home , your highness.“ Well there it goes.
„Hi Iggy!“ Prompto waved to him. From formal to casual. Then, his eyes met you as he closed the distance between your figures. His hand reaches out to you to shake as you directly accepted it.
„ You must be Lady L/N. Gracious to make your company. You can call me Ignis “ You nod with a light smile and nervous for being called 'Lady'? „And I need to say thank you for taking care of the prince.“ Now, you were more puzzled.
„Huh?“ Even Noctis breathed out.
„I heard you took care of him as he had a bleeding nose.“ His eyes shifted to Noctis as he uncomfortable moved to stand on the other leg.
„Where do you know?“ The prince questioned.
„ A shocked nurse came to the king and informed him about it.“ You glanced to Noctis as he rolled his eyes.
„ Come on, I told her, she shouldn’t annoy my father.“ Prompto giggled behind him.
„ I am sorry but that he got hurt was because of me…“ Ignis smiled a bit .
„ I bet his clumsiness was at fault.“ A Noctis wanted to protest but he continues „ Anyway how was the bento I made? Did you taste that I used the flavour from ....*X*, *Y*" In the end, you understand just nothing and made him clear that you enjoyed it. In an instant, he vanished to prepare your evening meal.
„He is nice…. „ You mumbled. Noctis sighed
„ Nice like a ragging mother….“ Prompto chuckled.
„ Yeah, but he has it hard with you.“ Then Noctis wanted to hit him on his head as the blonde ducked. „HA !“ He yelled and suddenly Noctis hit him on his stomach. „ Ugh! Not fair!“ The prince smirked only. Then, his eyes wandered to you. You were staring at the fancy decoration with a mouth agape. He was a little afraid that you were too ‚impressed' and will maybe avoid him in the future. Many others did so. He coughed to get your attention. Your eyes reached his as he stuttered
„ A-Are" Really now? „ Are you alright?.“ With wide eyes you nod.
„ I think so….. „ You muttered. Prompto just mentions
„ You haven't seen anything. Wait up when you see-„ Noctis stopped him by giving him a death glare.
„ I am okay. I just go for little girls.“ Embarrassed, they noticed your impressed staring, you left the room quickly to search the toilet. Well, while stamping away, you recognized that you have no idea were the toilet is. „ Just great , Y/N.“ You mumbled to yourself. So you opened every door and peeked inside secretly. Of course, only when nobody was around. Somebody noticed you as you opened the door. You pretended that you need to go in there as you entered a room which you just stared in disbelief. The roof was unbelievable high and the gold and silver decorated the whole room. Your head brought up as you walked backwards. „Wow.“ Then you recognize this room as you contained more details. This is…. The throne room. ‚Holy shit‘ you mind screamed. This was what you had seen on pictures and TV but in reality, it was more majestic. A voice brought you to shriek and turned around abruptly .
„Miss how can I help you?“ His deep voice hollered through the room as you eyes pooped out like pizzas. Few second were needed as you bowed directly and showed your respect .
„ My majesty . I apologize.“ Nothing more could pass your dry throat. He chuckled as he stand up.
„ It seems I startled you. These clothing….. You are in the same school like my son.“ Slowly, he stepped down the stairs. As he climped down seemingly hurt, you just couldn't stand there and rushed to him for help. He smiled at it kindly. Was it okay for you to touch him? Then, he stopped and turned to you.
„ Thank you for your help. But can you tell me your name?“ Again you bowed as you answered him „ Y/N L/N, my majesty!“ His eyebrows knitted as he spoke up.
„ L/N ? Oh, your parents are excellent baker. This Choco chili cake is truly magnificent.“ Oh, when you parents would hear this.
„ Thank you very much, your Excellency.“ There he waved his hands in front of him.
„Stop this formal talk. My duty for this day is done. Just Regis.“ You looked surprised at him as your lips left .
„ Like your son.“ Curiously, he watched you.
„You know my son Noctis personally?“ You nodded.
„ He invited me here for a feast.“ You slowly told him. He started to laugh.
„How bold has this boy become , not tell his father about a female guest for himself.“ After helping him the whole stairs down, the king started with you a light conversation and wanted to know how you met his son. Shyly, you told him that you hit him with the door. You thought, he would be angry instead he snickered about it. „No wonder he would hide it. He got a pretty girl taking care of him.“ You blushed as he smiled at your reaction.
„ I don't think-" Suddenly, the door snapped open to reveal the prince.
„Y/N?“ he asked and then after a shock, realizing his father. „ Father…..“ He gulped. Hell, he didn't told him about her. The king sighed.
„Son.“ He smiled cheekily at his own blood. Noctis avoided his smirk in silence. Just awkward… Then, you said to lighten up the situation.
„So I believe…. This isn’t the bathroom?“ A chuckled is heard from the corner in this room. There stood a knightglaive slightly shaking his shoulders because of your words. Was he the whole time here? Regis spoke up to his son.
„Show your female guest, Y/N, the way to the bathroom, my son. And behave well around her.“ Noctis breathed out and gestured to come over. You turn and before you could bow, he reached a hand to you . „ I shall take my leave now. I hope, you have wonderful evening here, Miss Y/N L/N. May we blessed meeting again.“ You nodded and accepted his handshake. With a beating heart, you sloppily dragged behind Noctis.
„Wow. I like your father.“You simply stated.
“Huh?!“ He stopped and looked at you. „How long have you been with him?“ you shrugged
„ Quite a while…..“ ‚Oh great!‘ He thought. This meant, tonight is going to held an interrogation by his father. Then, you hold your cheeks.
„He called me pretty.“ ‚Wha-! What did you just talk with him?!' Noctis watched you in disbelief.
King Regis was from beginning a wonderful person and king. His soon death couldn'/t You shake of easily. Thank God ,there were multiple times, you had met him after your first meeting.

What if Ardyn becomes king when Noctis sleeps in the Crystal for 10 years? What if he returns to fight Ardyn? What if Y/N becomes deadly sick with no cure?
All can be found in this book!
------------------------------------------
It's been like a month ever since Y/N arrived in Eos. It's like an earth-like planet where she was now. It's been... interesting to say the least. She was allowed to explore the surroundings of Insomnia and mostly the books attracted her to them. Y/N was careful of her surroundings and she didn't let her fears get in the way, especially when it came to her wings, her pure fluffy white wings. They were sensitive, yes... but they were strong as well.
As time passed, Y/N eventually met more people who would become her friends: Noctis, Gladio, and Prompto. She already met Ignis. She found out more about who they were. Noctis was the son of King Regis and also the heir to the throne. Prompto was Noctis' best friend. Gladio was Noctis' shield while Ignis was the advisor of the royal family. It was... interesting.
Not only meeting them but also her training.
The current king and Cor trained Y/N for hours by fighting with weapons. She felt herself becoming stronger than before. While she did become stronger, there was someone in the shadows watching over her...
Y/N was clueless about it.
She also got permission to use books to learn more about the monarchs, histories, and places. The very first Lucis Caelum king was Somnus. The book said things like who his parents were and where he was born. It also said that he was the only child. Now something told in Y/N's gut that it wasn't true. Why was she feeling this way? Was there something that the historians didn't find? Or was it kept a secret? Why was the woman feeling rage?
It was nearly ball and Y/N found a dress that was color (choice) (please choose or imagine a color that will suit Ardyn's appearance. It's unknown which color his favorite is. But if you dislike the idea, than feel free to choose a color that matches your white wings). She got enough gil, the money that Eos uses, to pay for a dress in a clothing store outside of the castle. She put on the beautiful ball gown dress and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked beautiful... stunning. She was taken aback. Her hair was slightly curled and her face had light makeup on. She wasn't too girly to put on a lot of makeup. She didn't mind to put a little bit.
Once she saw that everything was looking fine, she put on her ladies' flat shoes instead of high heels. She was not a chick high-heel person. She took a deep breath, closed her wings securely, and opened the door. She could hear very faint music playing around. She stepped out and closed the door behind her. She walked towards the main ballroom, where the king held the ball out for this evening. Y/N entered the room and she gasped by how big the room was and even by how many people there were. Everyone was well dressed in suits and dresses. King Regis was this time not on the throne as he was speaking with some men who seemed to be in high positions.
Once she saw that everyone seemed to be busy with one another, the Wing Warrior began to feel sad. She was again a loner and an outcast. She needed to do something about it.
But what she didn't know was that she was being watched.
She saw a drinking table nearby so she went there and boy, was she a shy and polite girl. If she bumped into someone then she apologizes. She also said politely and softly "Excuse me" to pass by. Once she reached the table, she grabbed a glass and poured water into it. She wasn't a drinker or a smoker. She preferred herself clean inside. Once she finished drinking water, she set the glass back down and that's when King Regis walked on stage, grabbing the microphone from the stander. "Good evening, everyone. I want to thank you all for joining the ball for tonight." King Regis went on by why he held the ball and he spoke a little further, until the singing part comes. He looked at Y/N, who looked nervous. She asked the king a day before if she could sing before the ball would be held. She explained the reason and that was she wanted to sing and teach the people of Eos that she was different. She was sure that the music was still the same just like in her world.
"We will today have singers on stage, first one will be my apprentice. Please welcome Y/N," King Regis said, welcoming Y/N with a warm look in his eyes.
Y/N walked towards the stage and there were applauses from a lot of people that were in this room. She felt shy and smiled a little. Due to being an outcast and a loner, she experienced depression and had many episodes of attacks inside of her. But she tries her best to not let it get to her. She stepped on the stage and took the microphone from King Regis' hand before bowing to him in respect. Once she stood up, she saw his kind and heartwarming eyes looking into hers. He laid his hand on her shoulder and patted her very shortly before leaving the stage.
Y/N looked toward the crowd while hiding her nervous expression. She was sweating but hoped it would be gone if someone wanted to dance with her. Uhm, spoilers, she was a bad dancer. She did a small bow first before she stood straight up and spoke: "I'd like to thank his Majesty for inviting me on stage. I requested it before this ball took place. I will today sing a song that is actually from my world. It is in French but it's a beautiful one. It's called 'Love Story'. Enjoy."
As Y/N began to sing, she didn't know that her singing voice improved. Sure, it was normal for beginners not to sing perfectly but... there were celebrities out there who were born with singing talent. Some of the couples began to dance while others were gaping at Y/N. To them, she was a beauty with a beautiful voice. Y/N sang with her eyes closed and with a smile, she danced a bit and used her whole body to move. She even did a couple of small and delicate spins.
Among the crowd, there was a man with yellow/amber eyes. He didn't exactly wear a suit but he looked damn fine. His hair was red-violet. He also had handsome strong features. He looked at Y/N with deep interest and smirked. He will speak to her after she finishes.
Once Y/N was done, she bowed and the public gave a big applause to her for that. She gave the microphone to the next singer, who was also a woman but not a Wing Warrior. Both women gave each other a respectful nod before they parted ways. Y/N carefully walked down off from the stage and once her feet hit the floor, she felt relieved. Sure, she did enjoy singing, but she was a nervous wreck on stage. Her sweat began slowly to disappear.
Just as she wanted to grab a drink (with water) at the table, a man stopped her. He was dressed... with interesting clothing for this ball tonight. Or was this his choice of clothing for a living? He was dressed like a chancellor and wore a fedora hat on his head. His eyes were amber and his hair was red-violet. He smirked at the Wing Warrior and the woman was blushing. But why?
"My dear, I heard you singing on stage and I must say, your voice is like gifted by the Gods," the man responded.
Y/N felt her heart flatter at the compliment by this man. But... why did her body tell her that he was not someone to be trusted? He looked to be a mysterious man but why does he look interesting to Y/N? "Why, thank you, sir. It's an honor." She bowed.
The man grinned this time but still had a smirk on his face. "I must say, you're interesting."
Y/N tilted her head a bit to the side. "How so?" She was clueless about what the mysterious man meant about that. The man thought that it was cute of her to be oblivious. "I heard that you are from a different world by rumors. And that seems to be correct—my, my." He circled Y/N and the Wing Warrior kept an eye on him. "You are unique. Wing Warrior, am I correct?" He said as he stopped in front of the woman.
Y/N nodded, showing the signal that he was correct. That's when he smirked again and wanted to touch her wings, to feel how soft they were. But he decided not to do it that... yet. He leaned a bit too close to Y/N's ear and whispered: "Even your name is beautiful... Y/N."
Y/N wanted to ask how he knew her name until she remembered that King Regis said her name out loud in front of the crowd. She felt herself embarrassed. She tried to hide it by covering her face with her hands but the mysterious man grabbed her hands delicately and held them in his big warm ones, causing Y/N to blush.
"Ah, ah, ah. Don't hide your beautiful face, my dear," He flirted.
Just as Y/N wanted to remark, she heard the woman sing a song and Y/N couldn't help but look at her. She was... too shy to look at the man holding her hands. Y/N felt her fingers hooked under her jaw gently and her head turned to look into his amber eyes. He smirked, let go of her, and bowed, which surprised Y/N.
He then stood back up and stuck out his hand to her, causing Y/N to blush even more. "May I have a dance with you?"
Y/N settled her hand on his and he, with care, romantically held her hand. Y/N blushed again. She should learn to stop blushing so much. The man noticed it and chuckled. "You blush too much, my dear."
Y/N squealed and pulled away gently. But the mysterious man pulled her back. That's when another beautiful song came on. It must be a song from their world, Y/N thought.
The mysterious man gently tugged Y/N and she quickly woke up, realizing that she was being led to the dancefloor. Y/N didn't know how to dance and she panicked on the inside. Once she was by the other dancers, Y/N didn't know what to do and she looked pleadingly at the mysterious amber-eyed man for help. He smirked at her and placed her one hand on his shoulder and the Wing Warrior felt his one hand on her back. She blushed slightly. He leaned to her ear and whispered: "Just follow my lead, my darling."
Y/N nodded, shyness taking over as they began to dance. It was a slow dance and it felt... so right. But her body kept screaming at her that this man was not someone to be trusted. But she betrayed herself and found herself enjoying the dance with him. Who was he? She felt lost in his amber eyes.
Y/N yelped as he dipped her gently. He smirked and pulled her back up. As the song ended, he leaned in and Y/N blushed furiously. Was he going to kiss her? She had never been kissed before. Yes, she was a virgin too and it made her nervous as heck. She found herself leaning in too and just as their lips were about to meet, there suddenly was an attack, causing Y/N to pull away to look at what was happening. She looked with wide eyes as a familiar figure entered the room with black wings. It was a male. He scanned the room and smirked upon spotting Y/N. "I finally found you, Y/N."

Daemon Ravus X Reader HCs
(This is my first time writing HCs so cut me some slack)
He's big. Literally. The in game bestiary said nine foot four so I'm going to work with that
Basically just a giant goop covered cat
I feel like he'd purr if you pet his head idk maybe I'm just fantasizing too much I'm lonely ok
Doesn't fit in a regular bathtub or shower. You have to wash him in a car wash. Just saying
Does not take any shit
Will not take any shit
And will shut that shit down (congrats if you got the reference)
I feel like if you made him food and he didn't like it he'd do the idiot sandwich thing but he'd just stare at you and breathe heavily
Would eat a potato raw. No hesitation. But he WILL glare at you the whole time.
He's like a street dog. If you're in a verse or something with other daemons he regularly sneaks out and beats the shit out of all of them and comes home looking all smug.
Expanding on the point above, y'know the swords of iron or red giants in game? How big they are? Yeah he brought one home for you once and now it sits on the wall above his bed like a trophy
Speaking of his bed, king size with several things making it bigger. Like tables the same height at the ends to fit his legs. He is not fitting on a normal bed let me tell you
Don't take his food away from him. Even if it's not food. He will tear your arm off. Or just bite you. He likes biting.
He ate a microwave once. I feel like he'd do that just out of spite
Saw a picture of Noctis on the ground. Proceeded to bite it, tear it to shreds, run it over with your lawnmower, run it over with your car, piss on the pieces, and give the pieces to the birds living in a nearby tree. The birds thought they were worms and ate them and died
Are you struggling to open jars? Ask Ravus to help open them! He'll smash them into pieces and then look at you like you're the one who did it wrong!
If you have a pet Ravus can and will pick a fight with them and promptly lose
Likes to lay in the most inconvenient places and stare up at you like it's your fault.
Managed to lay on the ceiling once. Not clear how.
You know the scene in the first Avengers movie where the Hulk beats the shit out of Loki and slams him around and it's funny for no reason? That's Ravus right there
Alright alright let's get into the actual X Reader stuff right here
Oh
God
Let me tell you something
He likes to hold you and it's amazing because he's so big
It's weird because he's breathing like Darth Vader with autotune in your ear but he's so WARM
Cold? Cuddle with Ravus
Angry? You can hit Ravus all you want and let me tell you something he has 250,000 HP in game you are not hurting him at all he doesn't care
Intruder in the house? Cue Ravus falling down the stairs to go and kill them and their whole bloodline
He's like a dog honestly
He will randomly pick you up and carry you around everywhere whether you want it or not
Got stuck in a washing machine once. Will growl if you bring it up.
He likes to cut food with his sword. He gives you a funny look if you throw it out. But it's not safe to eat because it's covered in whatever kind of goop Ravus is covered in sooooo
NSFW time
Good luck taking him in bed. That dick is as big as you are.
Okay, not that big. It's like...
...
...
...
... 11 inches? We'll say 11 for now because a foot long is just a bit much but I feel like 10 doesn't give him justice
Prefers doggy or missionary or mating press. Something along those lines
Must be on top or he'll crumble into ashes
Prepare for extremely rough sex, because that's all he does
Are you a masochist? No? You are now
Claws you up, but only a little. He doesn't want to hurt you but damn those claws are a bit much
Speaking of his claws he lets you put nail polish on them but only sometimes
BUT THATS NOT THE POINT
When it's all done, you'll find claw marks everywhere. The ceiling, the floor, rooms you weren't even in all day, the neighbors house....
Places that don't make sense. It's not clear how they got there.
For aftercare let me tell you something
Great back scratcher
Will cuddle up to you
But if you both need to be cleaned you're both sitting in front of the sprinkler. Deal with it
That took twenty minutes to write but that was so fun. Holy shit. Ten notes and I'll do this for other characters (Current ideas are daemon Loqi, modern Ravus, daemon Luna, daemon Luna and Ravus, ect ect blah blah blah give me ideas and I'll feed you)

Until Darkness descends
CHAPTER: 33
FANDOM: Final Fantasy XV
RATING: Explicit
MAIN PAIR: Ardyn Izunia x Reader
SEC PAIR: Gladiolus Amicitia x Reader
Ardyn looked through the binoculars, at the blue flames that lashed at the skies like a mad beast clawing at its confines. It was coming from the disk of Cauthess, a destination he knew you and your group would be interested in right about now.
With the titan now awake, thanks to the Oracle, the god no doubt plagued his chosen king with visions, drawing him to the area like a moth to a flame. Like the mysterious benefactor Ardyn paraded himself to be, he will be the one to escort the prince and his entourage to the Archaen’s door.
The pieces of his plan were falling into place one by one. Before long, all of Eos would crumble under the weight of his wrath. He could almost taste it, envision the destruction that would be his macabre playground till the end of time.
Yes, that plan was coming along, but you on the other hand was proving to be a more challenging task. Ardyn was there when your group ventured into the cave, wanting to watch the events unfold with his own eyes instead of from a distance. Disappointment curled his mouth into a scowl.
He was also there to watch you fall to your death. Like a fool in love he watched as your body fell apart with a fist in his stomach. Ardyn gritted his teeth, his blood turning into a simmering vat of hot oil, causing his hand to shake when he balled it into a fist.
The sight of your body bloody and broken shouldn’t have vexed him, shouldn’t have caused him to come out of the shadows to hold you in his arms. But the fear was a noose around his lungs at that moment, and if he didn’t gather you in his arms quick enough, he was sure he would’ve choked on that rope. It was irrational. He intended to do much worse to you in the coming months, and he knew you wouldn’t remain dead for long.
But that didn’t stop him from cradling your mangled body close to his chest, willing you to come back to him, to open your eyes. Ardyn hissed at the memory. How was he supposed to destroy you if he was this weak? Anger at himself, at you, at the gods, raced through him like black ink, spilling out of its cartridge and onto his lungs and gut until he was drowning in it.
He moved on instinct in that moment, an instinct that refused to be purged. No matter how many times Ardyn reminded himself that you really weren’t her, that you were a mere puppet fashioned to mirror her likeness, he couldn’t stop himself from seeing his wife lying broken and lifeless on the ground. Covered in so much red it was like Ardyn was reliving the day his brother betrayed him all over again.
The sounds of multiple footsteps thundered in his ears and he banished the thoughts to the back of his mind. Now wasn’t the time to languish in his woes. He had a job to do and you will not get in the way of it.
Squaring his shoulders, he plastered a relaxed smile on his face before welcoming your friends. “What a coincidence.” He said as he turned to greet them.
Gladiolus, your boyfriend, sneered at him. “I’m not sure if it is.” He said. Ardyn’s lips twisted into a mocking smirk until he fixed it just as fast. Once he made quick work of Noctis he would be sure to visit the Amicitia next. He could already feel his hand warm with the weight of Gladiolus’ entrails, envision his heart splattering on the ground like a fallen tomato, and his eyes bulge out of his skull like two ripe grapes. They would make the perfect ornaments for a fallen Eos, but only after he drew out the man’s death for as long as he could, afterall, it was what he deserved for touching what was not his.
Ardyn replied. “Aren’t nursery rhymes curious things?” He took languid steps towards the wary crew. “Like this one, from the deep the Archean calls, yet on deaf ears the god’s tongue falls. The king made to kneel in pain he crawls.”
“So how do we keep him on his feet?” The blond one asked. Ardyn stared into his wide innocent eyes, far too bright for a man with as many secrets as him. And what great joy Ardyn would find in exposing all of them.
“You need only heed the call, visit the Archean and hear his plea. I can take you.”
A pensive sort of air swallowed the five of them. They huddled around each other to debate amongst themselves. It didn’t matter. Ardyn knew they would accept his aid, after all what other choice did they have?
Just as he expected, they agreed. He led them to the parking lot while giving them his first name. A strategic decision, give them just enough information to lower their guard and build familiarity. They will continue to distrust him, but not enough to not accept his aid. Soon, he will have all of them right where he wants them, including you.
Once in the parking lot, Ardyn turned to face them. “Allow me to do the honor of assigning your driver.” He said. “I choose you.”
The prince folded his arms in front of his chest and glowered at the regalia as though it offended him. “What if I ride with you?”
“I’m afraid you would find the fee to be more than you bargained for.”
“What if I did?” Ardyn turned his head to you. Looked like you finally decided to step out of your boyfriend’s shadow. He arched his brow. This was an interesting turn of events, the girl who was skittish and distant towards him as of late was volunteering to spend time alone with him.
You didn’t willingly seek his presence anymore, not since he sowed seeds of distrust in your mind years ago. A mistake he intended to correct. What he has intended for you requires your unwavering trust and open heart. How gracious of you to give him an opportunity to rectify it.
But your boyfriend had a different thought. “Why would you wanna ride with him?”
“More leg room, and besides that would mean more room for you and Noct in the back.” You said.
“No way I’m gonna let you ride in some weirdos’ car on your own.”
“Come on, babe.” You said, placing your hand on his chest. “It’s only for this drive, and besides, nothing's going to happen. And if anything, I’m more than capable of handling it on my own.”
A beat past while Gladiolus stewed in his thoughts. Sighing, his shoulders relaxed but he still sported a dissatisfied frown on his face. “Fine, but if he does anything slick you let me know.”
Ardyn had to fight the rumble of miasma that threatened to spew out of his pours at the sight of you kissing the other man. He looked away, willing the scourge to settle. He’s definitely going to enjoy tearing Gladiolus limb from limb.
Snapping out of his thoughts, he opened the passenger door for you before settling in the driver’s seat. After instructing Noctis to follow him without fail, he took off. The three story buildings of Lestallum’s architecture melted into acrid dirt and unobstructed skies.
You sat silently in your seat, questions racing through your mind so loudly it was causing Ardyn’s own head to spin. He had a feeling you had your reasons for driving with him. Perhaps you wanted to revisit the question you had for him two nights ago, one he prepared for a long time ago. Or maybe it had to do with your visit to the cave. Ardyn left soon after you revived, so if there was anything you found of interest while you were there he wouldn’t know about it.
But after visiting that place a thousand times, Ardyn knew there was nothing of significance, besides the tomb, to be found behind those frigid walls. Whatever you had to say wouldn’t have anything to do with that cave. Five minutes passed when you were finally ready to air your thoughts.
“I thought about what you said.” You started. “The thing about the gods trying to speak to Noctis. Do you think they’re trying to do the same to me? Maybe that’s why I get migraines.”
Now that he wasn’t expecting. His grip tightened on the steering wheel. Ardyn didn’t mean to reveal a piece of the puzzle to you, place the answers in your head that would surely lead you to the truth of your destiny. Of your purpose. In hindsight, he had no choice. It was the only way to bait Noctis into accepting his assistance. But now Ardyn was left with a mess on his hands, one that could turn into a big, big problem if he left it unaddressed.
“There are a myriad of reasons that could be behind your affliction, my dear. Just because the cause remains unknown does not mean it is the work of the gods.” Ardyn said.
“But what about my visions? What could possibly be the cause of that?”
“I reckon it derives from the same source. You will discover the cause soon, my dear. But there is no point in trying to find answers in things that have nothing to do with you.”
You become quiet for a moment, but Ardyn isn't foolish enough to believe that was the end of your musings. That was when a warm fuzzy glow enveloped your hand, morphing into the shape of a book. He stared at it curiously before returning his eyes to the road. A nagging sense of dread bludgeoned the back of his skull. This couldn’t be good. "I found this recently while I was away with the boys." You said while holding up the book so he could see it. "It's about a disease, I think, that fell out of the sky along with a star. And something called Adagium, but I'm still not sure what that is. But here's the weird part, it's written in an ancient language but I was able to read it. I think the gods wanted me to find this."
Ardyn turned away to hide the grimace on his face. He could feel the tendrils of the scourge wrap around his organs like a sea monster pulling him down into its murky depths. For as long as he knew you, the gods only supplied you with brief flashes of the past, nothing too detailed to suffice as even a crumb of the truth, but this? This wasn't just a crumb, but a full meal waiting for you to gorge on.
His anger heated his blood to a boil but you didn't seem to notice. Just like he didn't notice that book was in the cave all along, just waiting for you to find it. The slick games the gods played, but fortunately for him he knew how to play dirty as well. "I believe I'm familiar with what you are describing. It's the black star tale, I assume? It's nothing but an ancient myth to explain away the existence of daemons in our world. It has nothing to do with the gods, my dear."
You shook your head, "no, it's more than that. It has to be…"
"I'm sorry, dear, but it's not."
Turning in your seat you threw your hands in the air, your frustration evident in the way your eyes sparked. "Then why tuck it away in a secret room? Why give me the sudden ability to read a foreign language if it's not important?"
Ardyn mentally chastised himself for not looking for that secret room you spoke of. If he conducted a better search he wouldn't be having this discussion with you. He wondered where that room was located in the cave. How many times did he walk past it without realizing it was there? Ardyn wasn't a careless man, he wouldn't have raised through the Niflheim ranks and played both nations like a fiddle if he was. There was only one answer, the gods made sure he would never stumble across it.
Surely if he did he would've burned the place to ash. Ardyn sighed heavily through his nose before stopping the car. The gods thought they could be a thorn in his side and thwart his plans. While it may be too late to destroy the book before you could find it, it was never too late to distort the truth to his liking.
Extending his hand, Ardyn said, "allow me to have a look at it." You handed it over and he breezed through the pages. Most of the words were smudged, if not completely faded due to age and lack of care. But he saw why it was so critical to the gods for you to find this chronicle. The two most important passages were left unblemished and mostly intact, enough so for you to glean a morsel of the truth from them.
But if Ardyn was any good at his job, which he was, you wouldn’t glean anything but a fictitious story trapped inside a leather book. "Hmm, this is Proto-Lucian, so not necessarily a foreign language. Its written form is close enough to our modern tongue to decipher some of the text." He looked up at you and delighted in the disappointment that slashed through you. Closing the book, he handed it back to you before delivering the final blow. "And it appears that some of the text remains intact, enough for you to decipher it using our modern alphabet. Nothing divine is happening, my dear, at least not to you."
Restarting the car, he barreled down the empty street before the boys could catch up and make a fuss. All the while you were as silent as a mouse, his words taking effect in the frown on your face and the droop of your shoulders.
But of course, knowing you, you are never at a loss for words for too long. "But-". He stopped the car before you could finish what you were going to say. The wheels screeched against the hot pavement as the jolt of the car forced stray hairs into your face.
Climbing out of the car, he circled around to the passenger side and opened your door. "We will be staying here for the night." He said, as was his plan from the start. It would take another night for the MT forces to reach the disk. He couldn’t have the five of you barreling through the Achean’s door before the stage was set.
The frown deepened on your face as you stared at his hand. "But it's only 3 p.m"
Before he could retort, the regalia’s soft purr greeted his ears. Ardyn looked up to find more angry faces glowering at him.
"What's the hold up?" Gladiolus was the first to ask.
"Ardyn wants us to stop for the night." You replied.
"Why? we still got plenty of daylight, this is a waste of time."
"There's no need to fret, the Achean's not going anywhere!"
"And neither are we under your stewardship." Ignis grimaced.
"So we make camp…with Ardyn." Came Prompto as he, and the rest of his crew, climbed out of the car. A symphony of protests followed his statement.
"Oh, I'm afraid I've never been one for the outdoors. I will foot the bill, so let us stay at the caravan over yonder?"

A Tall Glass of Red Wine
An Ardyn x Reader Fic
Ok… the prologue and chapter 1 are here, I apologise in advance if I get some of the tenses are mixed up, it’s my first proper attempt at a xReader fic so I’m still getting used to the phrasing (it’s especially difficult because I’m working on an OC story for Skyrim too and I find myself writing “her” and “she” instead of “you” sometimes) bear with me, I’m still getting used to it 😅
This fic isn’t going to be posted as consistent as my Skyrim fic, I’m not planning a schedule for posting this fic, once I have a chapter, I’ll share it
Reference of alcohol & poisoning
Prologue
King Regis Lucis Callum, of the Crown City of Insomnia rules over all of the vast kingdom of Lucis, or maybe not so vast now, Niflheim has taken control of nearly half of the kingdom. Regis, although he has a kingdom to rule, also has his duties as a father and as an Uncle, as the only 2 left of his household, he loves them dearly - in his own way. His household consists of his son Noctis - the chosen King of Light - and his niece, a young Captain in the Kingsglaive… You.
You came into your Uncle’s care after your father tried to put on the Ring of the Lucii, he wasn’t the chosen king after all, he wasn’t worthy of the Ring. With Noctis being heir to the throne of Lucis, you were expected to marry well and be a perfect wife to a high rank noble or a prince, however, you had shown such skill with a blade that your Uncle allowed you to train with the Kingsglaive. You flourished amount their ranks, climbing the ranks quickly until you became the youngest captain ever.
As you were of the Royal line your Uncle sent you off with the Marshal to collect your own set of Royal Arms. The pair of you traveled from each of the Royal Tombs to collect the power they held inside.
Once you and the Marshal returned you were sent out again within the week to lead your Glaives on a infiltration mission into Empire controlled lands.
“Stay safe,” King Regis said to you as you prepared to leave “and don’t use your Royal Arms in Niflheim controlled lands, if they found out who you were…”
“I know Uncle, I’ll be back soon, I’m sure” you gave him a warm smile, and gave his hand a reassuring squeeze
“Y/N, come on, we need to go!” You look over your shoulder at one of the other Glaives, you look back at your Uncle and he forced a smile before letting you go, you walk down the steps of the Citadel and join your fellow Glaives. A simple infiltration mission, what could go wrong?
Chapter 1 - The Poisoned Glass
Working as a servant in the Niflheim Royal Palace wasn’t what you had ever wanted to do, Niflheim was the enemy, you belonged in the Crown City of Insomnia, but you, and so many others were prisoners of war, made to serve the Empire, and you thanked the Gods everyday that your identity had been kept quiet so far, no one seemed to know who you were.
Magitech guards kept watch on the servants in the Emperor’s palace, programmed to ensure that no Lucian in the employ of the Empire did anything to harm the people they now served, there had been attempts, you knew of at least 2 men who had disappeared over the last month, that knowledge alone was enough to keep you loyal, as much as you hated the idea.
Most days you worked as a maid; cleaning the palace, taking the belongings of visiting dignitaries to their guest rooms or - as it was tonight - serving drinks in one of the many ballrooms. The men and women who were guests of the Emperor were dressed to impress, the women wore incredibly tight looking dresses that you thought looked very uncomfortable, and the men wore their finest suits… all but one at least.
The Chancellor, despite his high rank, never wore fine suits… that wasn’t to say that his outfit was dull, far from it; his black leather, ankle length coat was always worn, as was his hat and red scarf, even in the height of summer, as it was tonight. You had heard people comment on it too, although you knew that none of them would say anything to him directly, the man was an intimidating figure.
He was leaning against the wall, looking out at the party from under the rim of his hat as you passed him
“Do you have red wine with you?” He caught your attention with a snap of his fingers as he spoke
“I’m afraid not, Chancellor Izunia” you say as you approach him “only champagne, I’m sorry”
“Pity… I suppose it will have to do” he took a glass from one of your silver serving trays and waved you away to continue your rounds of the ballroom, offering drinks to the other guests. Passing out glasses to another group of guests emptied your serving tray, so you tuck it under your arm and return to the kitchens to replenish your supply
“The Chancellor’s asking for red wine, do we have any?” Another servant asked as he asked as they followed you in
“That man drinks nothing but wine, can’t he last one night without it?” The older man who ran the kitchens scoffed as he walked off, he was a fellow Lucian, that much you knew, you didn’t tend to ask questions like that, it usually got people angry and upset when they spoke of their homes. He set the fresh bottle of red wine on the counter, the young man who had asked for it pulled out the cork and poured a glass. You were collecting your fresh champagne flutes when you saw him pour something else into the glass, a fine white powder.
“What are you doing?” You hissed as he stirred the powder until it had completely dissolved
“With the Chancellor gone, then it just leaves the Emperor”
“And the whole of Niflheim’s army, are you insane!”
“Don’t you want to go home?” The young man looked at you, he looked desperate
“Of course I do… but poisoning the Chancellor is not the way to do it” you try to reach for the glass but he pulled it away from your reach and left the kitchen, you went to follow him but the older man caught your arm
“Don’t bother dear, let this be on him, alone”
“But what about the Chancellor?” You ask, the older man let out a sigh
“You have too much heart, dear, you won’t do well here if you care as much as you do” he nodded to your tray of champagne “you best get going with that, don’t want the high and mighty of Niflheim going too long without their alcohol now do we.”
Back in the ballroom, you can’t help but look over at the Chancellor, he was still leaning against the wall, looking down at his wine glass, swirling the liquid, but not drinking it, as you make your way around the hall, he catches your attention again, and waves you over.
“Is… there something wrong Sir?”
“The servant who brought me this, did he open the bottle and pour it?” You swallow your nerves that had risen to the surface
“Yes, Sir” he looked up from you and you followed his gaze, the young man was standing at the far corner of the room
“Well then, I know what he’s done… and I want him to know that what he’s done will result in someone dying”
“Sir?” Your voice trembled slightly as you spoke, he took your empty trays off you and handed the glass of wine, he kept his hand clasped tightly around yours, and looked at you, you could see a look in his eye that made your stomach turn
“Drink it” your eyes widen and you tried to take a step back from him, but he catches your wrist and held it tightly “you will do as I say, drink it”
“Sir, I…”
“Drink it” he repeated again, you quickly look over your shoulder, the servant responsible to this was still watching “I don’t want to have to force you” you look back at the Chancellor, then down to his hands, one holding your wrist tightly, to the point it started to hurt, and the other holding your hand and the glass he had given you, you couldn’t drop it, or even throw it at him, he was giving you no choice.
Why did I come over here, why did I feel the need to ask him anything? I’m going to die because I care too much, I’m so stupid
“I’m waiting…” the Chancellor hummed
“Fine” you manage to choke out, his lips twitched into a brief smile before you lifted the glass to your lips
“That’s it, drink up” even though he spoke in a whisper, you could hear a hit of amusement or joy in his voice, he still held the glass and your hand as you tipped the rich red wine into your mouth. It had been months since you had drunk anything so expensive and rich in flavour, it was a pleasant flavour, you thought at first that there might have been nothing wrong with it at all, but then whatever your fellow servant had put it the wine hit your system, you let out a gasp as the Chancellor let go of you, freeing your hands to clasp your throat.
You heard someone shout, a mans voice from what you could tell, but your focus was on yourself, the poison surged around your body, causing your throat to constrict and your legs to give way from under you. You felt strong arms catch you though, they lowered you to the floor.
“It’s alright” the Chancellor’s voice spoke calmly in your ear, you could feel his breath against your neck, as he spoke, your vision was blurring, all you could see were shapes moving around you “try to take deep breaths… it’s alright” you feel a hand close your eyes and brush some hair from your face as you slip unconscious.

A Potion in Moonlight: Ignis Scentia x Fem!Reader (NSFW)
Contains: Self-deprecating thoughts, gentle sex, dick riding
Jealousy bubbled in your stomach like the contents inside of a cauldron, steamy bitterness clogging your throat and self-esteem venting out of any open hole. Your eyes slowly dropping from the crowds surging through Lestallum streets to your feet, following everyone’s feet instead of looking where you were actually heading.
Being surrounded in Lestallum by big, brilliant, beautiful and powerful women was sure to dampen your mood. You felt so small, so weak, so fragile and so exposed as if all of your flaws were worn on your arm. You hated this feeling swelling in your chest. Your cheeks flared and burned up with jealousy, tears threatening to at your eyes.
Six, it felt like a million needles were stabbing right into your eyes.
Why were you here? Why were you with them? Why was someone like you placed on this mission? How did King Regis look at you and ask you to travel with the prince and company?
You felt so honored at the time, but now, you feel as though this is just a scam to show you how worthless you really are.
You could feel gazes on you, burning your skin with their glares, whispers mulling your ears, your heart pounding against your chest. You felt dizzy. You felt sick.
“(Y/n), are you feeling alright?” Ignis suddenly asked, cutting through your inner breakdown.
You looked up, eyes probably bloodshot and nose threatening to leak with your lips parted. Ignis stood before you - the three others behind him, offering content smiles - green eyes shooting right through you, only making you want to bury yourself deep underground and never come out.
You felt ashamed to be under his gaze, looking at you as if he were a disappointed mother.
Instead of offering him a direct answer, Ignis instead pulling off one of his driving gloves to press it to your forehead, then cheeks respectively. He hummed, slipped back on his glove and nodded towards the hotel you all were staying in.
“A small fever perhaps. Best we get you to bed for some rest,” he hummed contently. “Perhaps Jared will know what may be wrong with you if you wish?”
“I…” you breathed out, only to find yourself unable to confess your feelings in front of everyone. So, you only nodded. “Sure. Maybe.”
Ignis reached down without second thought and pulled on your hand, tugging you towards the hotel with the three others leading.
Your hand burned. It didn’t belong in his hand, you didn’t belong with him. You hated how you wanted to rip your hand away, coil up in the darkness and never come out. You wanted to hide from the world. You didn’t deserve this, and you didn’t deserve him.
A cold rush of air made you wince before you found yourself in the lobby of the hotel. Your feet never stopped to enjoy the nice ocean blue painted walls or the nice white marble floors that were waxed to perfection, you were just pulled to the elevator and were taken directly back to your room.
You all had split two rooms, yourself and Ignis is one room while Gladio, Noctis and Prompto took the other…
At least you had some privacy, in case you did have a breakdown in front of Ignis. Six, you already felt like you were able to breakdown right about now.
“Just lay down love, I’ll be there in just a moment,” Ignis purred softly in your ear, squeezing your shoulders gently.
Ignis never entered the room, instead only joining the three in their room to probably snag a potion if your “sickness” were to turn sour. Your stomach twisted in knots as you looked at the light gray curtains, wanting to flow freely in the warm breeze, but the sealed windows didn’t give in to their wishes. The sun outside burned your eyes, your fingers moved on their own to snatch at the curtains and forcefully snap them shut, allowing them to dance as they slid closed, barring any sunlight to pour into the room.
You turned to the bed, sitting down on your usual side of the bed, back turned to the door. You didn’t lie down though, you just sat there, elbows on your knees, head down as you waited for Ignis’ return.
Maybe talking with him will help? He always appreciated when you were 100% honest with him, so this should be no different… Right? The cold, icy claws of guilt and worry started to creep up your spine, your thoughts clouding over to give in to their desires.
What if he sees you as a burden? A waste of time? What if he realizes that you are just acting like a spoiled child and leave you? What if they all get tired and leave you behind? Here in Lestallum?
You swore you could feel bile bubbling at the back of your throat.
The creak of the door opening made you open your eyes, realizing that your head was in your hands.
“Love, I know you aren’t sick,” Ignis sighed softly. The door closed behind him, you could hear his pointed, strong footsteps slowly walk off the hardwood floors onto the lush rug under the bed. “But I do know that you are unwell.” Ignis soon entered your vision out of the corner of your eye. He had a potion in hand that would go to no use now, so he set it next to him when he sat down. “Talk to me. Open up those locked doors to let me see and let me in.”
“I…” you whispered. You shook, started to tremble, body jerking when Ignis placed a calm hand on your back to rub soothing circles on your clothed skin. “I…” you whimpered, now sniffling.
“Kitten, there is no need to be so anxious. I’m here, I will not leave you,” he hummed.
“I shouldn’t be here,” you cried, finally opening the waterworks and letting the floodgates open.
Ignis was shocked at your sudden outburst, now kneeling before you and placing his firm hands on your knees while you cried into your hands.
“My love, please. What do you mean? Of course, you should be here. You belong with us, here.”
“No, I don’t Ignis.” You ripped your face away from your hands to look at him. His face softened when he saw yours coated with tears. “I’m not good enough to stand next to you or Prompto or Gladio, I shouldn’t even be in the Crownsguard.”
“(Y/n),” he murmured, his face painted with agony and sorrow.
“I don’t even know why I was appointed to be the healer of this group,” you sniffled, finally looking at the plush faux fur floor. “I don’t… I can’t grasp how-”
“Stop,” Ignis ordered. Your lips parted in shock, your eyes burning as you looked back up at your lover to see his face contorted int disappointment. His lips pressed into a thin line, eyebrows arched defensively, nostrils threatening to flare, his green eyes making you feel like a misbehaving child that will get a scolding soon. “You belong here. You belong with us on the road to Altissia, you belong on this mission to help bring peace, you belong with me.” Ignis stood up, his thin figure looming over you, his shadow not feeling cold and unforgiving like you expected, but warm and inviting. Your lips trembled and quivered, your head following him on his journey up straight. “You deserve to be happy, love.”
His gentle hands cupped your jaw, thumbs rolling along your cheekbones and tracing the grooves in your cheeks to your chin. He brushed the hair from your eyes, wiped away the sticky tears matted to your face with the pads of his thumbs.
“Ignis,” you mumbled.
“Darling, I love you,” he sighed, tears brimming his own eyes. “Please, love, always know that.”
Ignis’ cheeks started to dust pink, his own lips trembling before he leaned down to press his lips to yours. Ignis’ hands shook on your jaw, quickly latching onto your back and grabbing handfuls of your clothing with rocking hands.
His hands guided your hips along his shaft, nails biting into your bare flesh as you yourself clawed at his bare chest. A soft moan pierced through you, the coil inside of you tightened, heat dripping through you like fire. Ignis winced, groaning and bucking his hips up, into nether lips, stretching you more.
You felt so full, your eyes lulling to the back of your head. You tilted your head back, hands clinging to Ignis’ shoulders as you rocked your hips back and forth on his cock. Guttural moans, soft groans, and sharp gasps punctured through you.
Sweat matted hair clung to your face, your eyes closed, mouth agape.
The moonlight shined through the open window, light gray curtains finally fluttering and dancing in the warm Lestallum breeze. You could hear the sounds of the city in the night: Heels and boots on sidewalks, the distant beats of underground clubs, the power plant coming to life every now and again before silencing into a monotone hum. The pale moonlight shined through, illuminating the blanket of sweat that covered both of you.
It was peaceful, lulling you both into a deeper sense of calm despite the growing tensions inside both of you.
“(Y/n),” Ignis wheezed, his fingertips digging into the soft flesh of your hips.
“I-Ignis.”
The headboard of the bed faintly pounded against the wall, soft thuds filling the room between your gasps and groans and moans. You were sure the three could hear what you were doing, but you knew they had no mind to
Your hands moved from Ignis’ body to your, fingertips brushing over the delicate skin of the hickies and splotches left on your soft flesh, each one sensitive to your touch, fingers twitching and face flinching in pleasure as Ignis’ hands rose slowly from your hips to your breasts. He gently squeezed the underside of your breasts, fingertips digging into the squishy flesh.
“(Y/n),” Ignis moaned louder, the plush pillow under his head creeping over the sides of his face.
“Ig-Iggy!”
The headboard started to pound a litter harder, soft thuds now becoming obvious harsher thuds. They wouldn’t wake a normal sleeper, but light sleepers around you were probably annoyed now.
You faintly heard the three snickering in their room, your eyes glaring at the wall behind you only to shirek softly, grabbing your own flesh and hunching over. You felt yourself come undone on his cock, Ignis only whimpering and whining as he slowly pumped his penis in and out of you. You could feel his length twitching and shuddering inside of you.
He was close.
You uncurled your back, eyeing his seductively before pushing a strand of sweaty hair away from your face. Your other hand came down to his tight abdomen starting to slowly become slippery with your slick running down the length of his cock. He was whining, grasping at whatever he could to get off. You, your breasts, your hips, and soon the sheets coated in your mixed sweat until he found himself bucking up harshly into you, warmth pooling and coating your insides white. You cried out, head tilting back and mouth agape while Ignis moaned hoarsely below you.
You collapsed on top of Ignis, rolling over until your head was against his chest, you face pointing towards the cool breeze brushing against your heated skin. It felt divine against your sensitive skin.
A ray of moonlight shined through the open window, and through your fatigued gaze over the rise and fall of Ignis’ firm chest, you could see the potion glinting beautifully in the soft light. You found yourself quickly lulling to sleep, the sound of Ignis’ slowing heartbeat and the calm sound of the city outside were just perfect enough for you to shut your eyes, and breathe in the scents of your lover beside you, nuzzling your nose into his chest and finally passing out.

Noctis Lucis Caelum x Reader (selship)
Selfship made for xivia___ on Wattpad.
You can check my Masterlists both in English and Polish here. Consider supporting me on Ko-fi. You can also check out my commissions if you’re interested. Other selfships can be found here.
↠ Noctis met you when he started going to school like most people his age. You weren't very talkative. Neither was he. Maybe that's why he liked you. Unlike his peers, you didn't take the initiative to get to know him. You just existed somewhere, minding your own business.
↠ The prince was fed up with everything that surrounds him at times. At times like this, he was holed up on the roof. One time he found you there sleeping. He got confused and tried to pull back but that's when you woke up. You got shy. You gathered your things as fast as you could and got out of there. What you didn't know was that you forgot your game. Freshly bought, still in foil.
Noctis wondered if it wouldn't be better to just leave the box where it was but eventually the urge to talk about the game won out. He had just bought it and had a lot of thoughts about the plot and gameplay strategy. So the next day he found you in the hallway and gave you back. You two had a nice conversation so he walked you to your classroom at the other end of the building. That's how your friendship started.
↠ The boy heartily hated vegetables, so he kind of understood the problems with nutrition. He was a bit of a hypocrite in that regard, however, as he would remind you from time to time to eat right, even if he couldn't do it himself.
↠ You often had gaming sessions with Noctis and later Prompto as well. Mostly online but sometimes also on the couch in my apartment. Ignis was preparing only good delicacies then. Scientia scolded the boy if he misbehaved and these visits were one of the few times he really listened and obeyed him.
↠ As a friend of the prince, you managed to visit the palace. Your first visit was quite a disaster. First you broke an ancient vase, then you got lost between the long corridors and finally you ran into King Regis. You cried out of frustration. The prince found you laughing through tears in front of his father. A man tried to make you laugh by telling a childhood story about his son and it worked out quite well.
Noctis also took you to his training that day. Partly because he had to and partly to show off to you. His pride when you completely blew Gladion off and congratulated him was immense.
↠ Neither of you have confessed your feelings to the other in a typical way. Just one time, walking around the city at sunset, you held hands. And a few days later, the moment in the park was so magical that you had your first kiss. Being a couple came out without any formalities or announcements.
↠ Your dates weren't much different from what you used to do together. Gaming, shopping and trips to the city. The difference was that you went out without the boys, who sensed quite quickly that something was up.
You hid your relationship from your three friends for quite a long time. Your relationship back then was full of little touches of the hand, quick stolen kisses and unexpected truancy in the middle of the day.
↠ The prince got used to the fact that you were always sleepy. He didn't mind letting his arm be your pillow.
↠ It was you who came up with the idea to employ you in part-time work. That's how you ended up working in a sushi restaurant for a while. Since then, you can't look at such food anymore. But you had to admit that the boy was extremely caring. When he saw you weren't up to the task, he would send you on break and take over your tasks.
↠ Noctis tended to keep his feelings deep inside. If you wanted to get to know them in depth, you had to make a lot of effort. You also often told him how proud you were of him because trying to grow up to the role of a king gave him sleepless nights.
He, on the other hand, supported you more often with deeds than with words. For example, by coming to various school competitions or dealing with some issues that cause you problems. Including people who accused you of being with him for fame or profit. He had his ways with such people.
↠ Your relationship lasted quite a long time but the closer it got to marrying Lunafreya, the more Noctis considered breaking up with you. Duty won out and not wanting to hurt you later, he parted ways with you long before he left Insomnia. Still, he kept coming back to you. He has you especially on his mind now that news has reached him of the attack on the capital...
